Asia's biggest anime and Japanese Pop Culture Event returns to Indonesia
Jakarta, 27 June 2013 – The first Anime Festival Asia Indonesia in 2012 attracted over 40,000 in the 2 days event, ending in a resounding success. Following this success and the continuing rise in popularity of Japanese Popular Culture locally, AFA is back to Indonesia for the 2nd time in 2013, bringing a slice of Japanese Pop culture direct from Tokyo to Jakarta.
Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013 (AFA ID 2013) will continue to establish itself as Indonesia's top Anime and Japanese Popular Culture event in the nation, is scheduled for the 6 to 8 of September 2013 in Plenary hall, Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center.
Anime and Japanese Popular Culture fans will enjoy an electrifying line-up of anisong (anime songs) stars direct from Japan. They can come face-to-face with Japan's top talent and latest offerings, complete with premium original merchandise, movie screenings, cosplay-related activities, and maid and butler café. The experience will be akin to being in Japan's famous Akihabara district.
AFA ID 2013 will focus on popular content and the latest trends based on the interest and preferences of the Indonesian audience. It is a satellite event of Anime Festival Asia, Southeast Asia's biggest and most anticipated showcase of the latest Japanese popular culture, anime content and stars, happening in November 2013, in Singapore.
AFA ID 2013 Highlights Include: AFA ID 2013 will feature 6 powerful stella cast of Anisong (Anime Song) J-Pop Singers and groups direct from Japan. Headlining the AFA ID 2013 I Love Anisong Concerts will be Eir Aoi, Aya Hirano, BABYMETAL, fripSide, Kalafina and May'n. Together, they will perform for the first time ever in Indonesia, chart topping hits from some of the biggest anime titles in Indonesia and Japan.
Apart from the concerts, AFA ID 2013 will have something for everyone, depending on their interests. Avid shoppers can look forward to one of the largest collection of original anime merchandise from Akiba Town by some of Japan's top brands. Top cosplay celebrities from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia will also grace the stage at AFA ID. A special cosplay championship will be held during the festival with the winner representing Indonesia to compete with the region's best cosplayers from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines, at the Regional Cosplay Championship. The Regional Cosplay Championship will be held in Singapore during the Anime Festival Asia 2013 in November.
The main stage area, held at Jakarta Convention Centre's Planery Hall is able to host over 3500 attendees at one time, will showcase rare guests from the Anime Industry, including celebrity voice actors, cosplay celebrities, and anime producers. Many exclusive anime movies and special screenings are scheduled for AFA ID 2013. More details on featured animes and movies will be announced at a later date.
Visitors to the festival can also experience the iconic Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe and Atelier Royale Butler Cafe, exclusively available only at AFA ID 2013, for a memorable dining experience.

(http://www.zepp.co.jp/), top local concert promoter Marygops Studios (http://www.marygops.com/) and local pop culture media publisher Megindo Group to jointly present Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013.
AFA ID 2013 will be held at the Plenary hall, Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center, on the 6, 7 and 8 of September 2013. Several tiers of ticketing will be available to cater to each visitor's interest. General exhibition tickets are priced at 65,000 Rp per day, customers who wish to additionally access exclusive stage contents from Anime celebrities will need to purchase the Exhibition + Stage ticket for Rp 150,000 per day.
For access to the I Love Anisong concerts, customers can get the Rp 380,000 / day (Free Standing) and Rp 750,000 / day (VIP Seating) tickets. To make it more accessible to fans, a 2-day Rp 1,300,000 VIP Package & Rp 680,000 2-day Standing Package will also be available. Each concert ticket is bundled with a festival and stage ticket.
Early bird ticket sales of AFA ID's I Love Anisong Ticket bundle, exclusively priced at 1,200,000 Rp, this bundle will grant the ultimate 3 day experience, and this early bird promotion will only be available from 3rd of July till 10th of July.
