Florida Anime Experience Celebrates Ghost in the Shell for Year Four

The annual event will welcome voice actors from the classic anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

(ORLANDO, FLORIDA, November 8, 2013) Florida Anime Experience is a three-day pop culture convention celebrating anime, J-Pop, manga, video games, and Japanese pop culture. No in its fourth year, the event will take place at the International Palms Resort and Conference Center over Memorial Day Weekend next year: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - May 23-25, 2014. Events are scheduled to begin at noon on Friday.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 29, 2013 (aka “Black Friday”) online at www.floridaanime.com/tickets. Ticket prices are $20 on Friday, $25 on Saturday, $20 on Sunday - or a Weekend Pass (all three days) for $45. Advance discounts will be available online.

The voice of Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Mary Elizabeth McGlynn! Ms. McGlynn has provided the voice for Major Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, Solid State Society and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex for which she won the American Anime Award for Best Actress. You can also hear her as Abigail Brand in The Avengers (animated), Sei in Alpha Protocol and Nora in Final Fantasy XIII. Some of her other popular roles are Cornelia in Code Geass, Kure-nai from Naruto, and Julia from Cowboy Bebop.
The voice of Batou from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Richard Epcar! Mr. Epcar is one of the hardest working actor/directors in show business, having voiced over 300 characters in Games, Animation and Anime. He is best known as the voice of Batou in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, The Joker in several “Batman” video games including Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Ansem in the Kingdom Hearts series of games.
