ORLANDO NERD FEST ANNOUNCES NOBUO UEMATSU AND THE EARTHBOUND PAPAS
Final Fantasy Composer Nobuo Uematsu and the Earthbound Papas to Headline ONF2014

ORLANDO – Feb 1st, 2014 – The Orlando Nerd Fest is a new player in the world of music festivals, but looking at their artist announcements you wouldn't be able to tell.

In what seemed to happen as quickly as overnight, the Orlando Nerd Fest struck forth with a very surprising headliner announcement: Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu and his band, the Earthbound Papas. The stunning performances that Nobuo Uematsu is well known for can be tied with the recent “Distant Worlds” global tour and his rare appearances in the convention and music festival circuit with the Earthbound Papas, most notably MAGfest X.

“It's absolutely amazing! If you would have told me even last year that we'd already be able to do all of this, I would have called you insane,” said Eric “Chozo Ninpo” Wright, Project Manager for the Orlando Nerd Fest. “Every member of this team is a huge fan of Mr. Uematsu's work, so you know that they're excited. You can really feel the nostalgic and emotional bonds that you have with your childhood in every song that he performs.”

Orlando Nerd Fest finds its home at the Orlando Airport Marriott on August 8-10, 2014, with a 4th day of the show being held at The Geek Easy, in the back of the world famous comic shop, “A Comic Shop”, just down the road from the Marriott. Tickets for the event are broken up by day, with a discounted price of $50 for the 3 day pass. The Geek Easy event is free to attend. When asked if this is going to be an annual event, Eric responded with, “Definitely. We've already announced the dates for 2015. We're not going anywhere anytime soon.”
