These classic tales cost only $2.99 and are ideal for those who enjoy and are interested in traditional Japanese stories that have been passed down for countless generations. These folktales spring to life with the colorful, yet delicate, artwork and imagery drawn by Taniel. This illustrator's work was also featured in A Witch's Tale™ for the Nintendo®DS handheld gaming system. The Japanese Folktales Series has a total of six stories, and Japanese Folktales Series 4 to 6 will become available soon.

Princess Kaguya: This is said to be the oldest Japanese narrative. It tells the story of a mysterious princess named Kaguya, who came from the Moon. The story begins with an old couple finding a baby inside a shining bamboo stalk!
Issunboushi: This tale is about an old couple who lived alone, and how the old woman desperately wished for a child. One day, a tiny baby boy was born to the old couple. The baby grew up to be a fine young man, but he was only the size of an adult's fingertip...
Urashima Tarō: This is one of the most famous Japanese folktales. Taro Urashima is a fisherman who was given the opportunity to visit an underwater palace for rescuing a turtle being harassed by children on the beach.
