In 2006, Silent Hill was adapted as a feature film by Christophe Gans. Once more, Akira Yamaoka composed the music and contributed to the eerie atmosphere of the movie.
The last episode of the serie Silent Hill : Shattered Memories - and Climax Studios were rewarded in 2010 at the prestigious Milthon European Awards ceremony for Best Audio design of the year. In 2011, his disturbing tunes and unearthly sounds contributed to the horror game experience in Shadows of the Damned.
