Anime 2014 – Summer Games- (13 till 15 June, The Hague, the Netherlands)

The Hague, the Netherlands – June 10, 2014, Just a few days left until the World Forum in The Hague will host “Anime 2014 – Summer Games -” from June 13 till 15, 2014. This dutch convention is the biggest in the Netherlands and will mark the 16th edition organized by the J-Pop Foundation.

J-Pop Foundation is happy to announce that they have KOTOKO (known for here theme songs for “Shakugan no Shana”, “Accel World”, “Please Teacher!”) as a guest of honor and she will be preforming on stage Saturday evening and Friday will see Origa (theme songs of “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”) on stage. The producer of the “Tales of ” game series by Bandai Namco Games, Hideo Baba, will also be present and will bring several playable unreleased games for the public to enjoy. From the UK Helen McCarthy will honor us with a visit and will host several lectures.

Anime 2014 will also host preliminaries for several international competitions like for the World Cosplay Summit (Nagoya, Japan), European Cosplay Gathering (Paris, france), Yamato Cup (Sao Paolo, Brazil), CICAF Grand Cosplay Awards (Hangzou, China), World Karaoke Grandprix (Nagoya, Japan), etc, and to judge these many competitions fairly we have invited several big international cosplayes like REIKA, Yaya Han, Andrea Vesnaver, etc.

Along these many attractions visitors will be able to enjoy them self's with the many activity's and workshops, watch tree days non-stop anime, shop at the vast dealer space, play traditional board games as well as brand new and classic video games, relax in the extensive manga library, admire the Alfred J. Kwak exhibition and many more things to do.

J-Pop Foundation is a Dutch NPO which aims to promote Japanese popular culture and one of their activities includes organizing an annual convention which has grown to be the biggest and longest running convention in the region.
