SaikouCon 2014 Extends Pre-Registration for Deluxe, VIP, and All Access VIP Badges through 4th of July Weekend

Due to Popular Demand, SaikouCon Keeps Higher Level Badges Available Until Monday July 7, 2014

7/3/14 Breinigsville, PA – SaikouCon, which means "best convention”, is the Lehigh Valley's first and only large scale, annual anime convention. Boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans, SaikouCon is excited to be the only annual convention dedicated exclusively to anime, manga, and Japanese culture and pop culture in this area of Northeast Pennsylvania. The convention grew out of the now defunct, but soon to be relaunched, webzine Anime Ate My Brain Magazine; the sibling webzine to Tastes Like Rock! Music Magazine. Both journalistic endeavors fall under the newly renamed Nerdy Rock 'n Roller Publishing, which will be growing in diversity in 2015.

The convention promises to remain very hands on and attendee friendly every year, while also maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon 2013 a safe haven for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2014. SaikouCon 2014 will feature many diverse and entertaining panels, workshops, activities, events, screenings, gaming tournaments, and much more!

In the same vein as 2013, SaikouCon has extended the availablility of its Deluxe, VIP, and All Access VIP Attendance Packages from July 1 to July 7 at midnight. These packages are available through the conventions Pre-Registration period as each comes with exclusive perks and souvenirs not available with Basic badges and will not be available for on on site attendees. The extension comes from the high volume of e-mails and private messages on Facebook that the organizers of SaikouCon have received since the original cut off day, Con Chair Michael Meade says, “we'd keep the pre-reg period open until the night before the conventions starts if we could. Unfortunately we can't, especially with our higher level badges. Our Deluxe badges come with exclusive buttons, the VIP badges come with mini-posters, and the All Access VIP badges come with full size posters. The buttons and posters are the reason we have to cut the registration for these packages earlier than the Basic badges.” Each of the packages also each come with a percentage off of official SaikouCon memorabilila sold at the show, the pertcentage varies by package, the two VIP packages also feature a group meet and greet with SaikouCon 2014's Guests of Honor for VIP badge holders. All Access VIP badge holders, however, get a private, one-on-one meet and greet with the Guests of Honor! All higher level badges are available in 1 Day and 3 Day options, 1 Day VIP and All Access VIP badges are available for Saturday only due to the panel schedule of SaikouCon's Guests of Honor for 2014. Basic badges will be available through August 11, after that point attendees will have to register at the door for the convention. For more information on the different Attendance Packages SaikouCon offers this year and to pre-register for the show please visit http://www.saikoucon.com/guest-registration.html. Also, all attendees that pre-register for the convention receive free MP3s of “Sugar” and “Superman” from headlining band, The Adarna.

SaikouCon's Guests of Honor for 2014 include RuffleButt Cosplay (Jessie Pridemore), Greg Houser (Evangelion, Shiki, One Piece, Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians, and more), Bill Rogers (Pokémon, Boogie Pop Phantom, Gravitation, and more), Marc Swint (Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, Anime Abandon), Rogers, Houser, and Swint will be presenting their groundbreaking "Voice Monkey 3 Day VA Workshop" over the course of SaikouCon; teaching fans what goes into being a Voice Actor and what the audition process is really like, and Sonny Strait (Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Black Butler, Lupin III, One Piece, Ouran High School Host Club, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Hetalia - Axis Powers, Fairy Tail).

Featured Guests for SaikouCon 2014 are the Sci-Fi Photo Guys, the League of Hot Geeks, Cosplay Burlesque, and The Gamer's Edge Comics and Games.

Musical Guests confirmed to perform thus far are The Adarna who will be headlining this years Cosplay Concert as well as giving a special solo performance following SaikouCon 2014's Opening Ceremonies. Members of the band will also be presenting feature panels and workshops over the course of SaikouCon 2014. The Asterplace, from New York City, will be performing with The Adarna at SaikouCon 2014's Cosplay Concert on Saturday, August 23 at 10 pm.
