RavenCon Celebrates 10 Years of Science Fiction Fandom in Central Virginia
RavenCon: The Con of Opportunity
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – April 24-26, 2015
RavenCon is the con of opportunity. Celebrating all aspects of science fiction fandom, we have been a mainstay of Centra; Virginia fandom for the past decade. If you're interested in anything related to science fiction or fantasy— gaming, literature, media, anime, music, cosplay, or art—you'll find it at RavenCon. With panels, workshops, concerts, kids' programming, readings, and signings there's always something going on. In addition to our active program, we also have a large, well-stocked vendors' room, a gaming room that never closes, an anime room, and an art show. For the night owls there's late night programming and parties.
This year our guests of honor include: Authors Allen Steele, Jack McDevitt, and Lawrence M. Schoen as well as artist Frank Wu and video game designer Brianna Spacekat Wu. Our complete roster of guests will include over 100 writers, artists, costumers, gamers, musicians, and scientists.
ABOUT RAVENCON: RavenCon is a 1200-person science fiction convention that was founded in 2006 for the purpose of bringing science fiction fandom to Central Virginia. We also run a High School Outreach Program that has brought students to the convention and has provided speakers to local high schools. We are also proud to support the Edgar Allan Poe Museum.
