SaikouCon Announces New Venue and Dates for SaikouCon 2015
SaikouCon Remains in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley area, Con Moves to Bethlehem, PA. Team Behind SaikouCon also announces New Horror Convention, Dark Dimensions Horror Con!
11/4/14 Bethlehem, PA – SaikouCon, which means "best convention”, is the Lehigh Valley's first and only large scale, annual anime convention. Boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans, SaikouCon is excited to be the only annual convention dedicated exclusively to anime, manga, and Japanese culture and pop culture in this area of Northeast Pennsylvania. The convention grew out of the now defunct, but soon to be relaunched, webzine Anime Ate My Brain Magazine; the sibling webzine to Tastes Like Rock! Music Magazine. Both journalistic endeavors fall under the newly renamed Nerdy Rock 'n Roller Publishing, which will be growing in diversity in 2015.
The convention promises to remain very hands on and attendee friendly every year, while also maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon 2013 and 2014 a safe haven for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2015. SaikouCon 2015 will feature many diverse and entertaining panels, workshops, activities, events, screenings, gaming tournaments, and much more!
SaikouCon 2015 will be taking place on August 28-30, 2015 at the Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel & Convention! The hotel is located at 300 Gateway Drive, Bethlehem PA 18017. Attendee pre-registration will open November 4, 2014 around noon. Merchant Hall and Artist Alley registration will be open next week, vendor and artist registration is going to be a little different this year, don't worry, it's still going to be pretty easy but it needs a little tweaking. Now, since the dates and new venue have been announced, we have one solid guest announcement to make as well; due to popular demand, The Adarna will be returning to SaikouCon 2015 as our headlining musical act! More guest announcements will be coming soon, as well as more info on the Best Western and our block of rooms there, and merchant registration details too.
In other exciting news, the team behind SaikouCon Anime Convention announced via SaikouCon's social media profiles that they will be presenting a brand new horror convention in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley; the Dark Dimensions Horror Con! No guest announcements or venue announcements yet, but the conventioneers are hoping for October 2015 dates to hold Dark Dimensions' first show; this may however turn into October 2016 depending on venue availability and willingness to host a horror convention. The official website for Dark Dimensions Horror Con is under construction and will be launched within November, 2014. The convention will always feature some of the best live entertainment themed to Japanese culture and pop culture, as well as the best in J-Rock, J-Pop, and nerd/geek culture musical acts from all over the US and beyond.
