Anime, gaming, cosplay, steampunk, and pop culture fans unite in honor of creativity

Buffalo, NY, April 13, 2015: Officials at The Ryu-Kon Group announced today that they will be hosting the Ryu-Kon 2015 Convention, located at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, the weekend of July 10, 11 and 12. Tickets are on sale now at discounted pre-registration prices, including free food vouchers, when you register by May 1st, to be used on concessions at the convention.

This annual event offers creative panels, workshops, screenings, cosplay, contests, Hello Kitty Play Zone, a carnival area, entertainment on 3 stages, celebrity and industry guests with free autographs as well as interactive and educational panels with the celebrities. Activities for the inner nerd in everyone will include table & video gaming, tournaments, unique exhibits, shopping with unique vendors & artists, and the Mega Game Room with giant, life sized versions of your favorite games. Dance the night away as you step into a fairytale Friday night at the Formal Fantasy Ball with free Professional Ballroom Dance Lessons. DJ Ru will lead a Glow in the Dark Rave Saturday evening. Don't just play games, become the games, Ryu-Kon style! Ryu-Kon Group is known for bringing games to life with live action gaming like Centipede, Pong, Human Katamari Tag, the Minecraft Fantasy LARP and more real life versions of classic games where YOU are the game! Compete in games and contests with prizes, including the Ryu-Kon's Got Talent event, Cosplay Contest and more.

Even eating meals at Ryu-Kon is unique and themed! Attendees can even experience a little piece of Japan in the Ryuko's Maid Café where anime maids and hosts serve guests, create edible artwork as you watch and even provide interactive activities as you wait for your food. Maid Café Guests can enjoy entertainment as they eat and even hop up on the stage and try karaoke. You can even eat breakfast with celebrity zombies in the “Wake with the dead” themed breakfast.

The guest list for 2015 is better than ever. Tiffany Grant has over 1400 tv episodes, ovas and movies under her belt. Kirk Thornton, a director and voice actor, has played more English speaking characters than any other male voice actor. Actor and live action star, Phi Huang (Paranormal Witness/ Panic Button/ Expendables 3), along with X-Limit Entertainment, will be doing a live action show created just for Ryu-Kon 2015!
