Rina Ikoma of Nogizaka46 & AKB 48 Movie Debut Corpse Party Film Poster and Trailer Released

Clearing is Impossible...The blood bath of tragedy begins...




Legendary horror adventure game series with 15 years' legacy to be unleashed as live-action movie!


Rina Ikoma's (Nogizaka46) film debut, “Corpse Party” will premiere at Cinema Libre Ikebukuro and cinemas Japan-wide August 1st. “Corpse Party” will be released online simultaneously on Dwango's Niconico Video streaming service. This press release is to announce the lifting of the information release ban on the film, poster, and trailer, and to request your consideration in working with the “Corpse Party” film.

Taking on the lead role is national idol Rina Ikoma of AKB48 and Nogizaka46 (the latter in which she has starred as the center member for the group's first five singles.) She will return to her central position on the seventh track of the July release. A Among the fresh-faced and high-energy cast are rising star Ryosuke Ikeoka, who debuted in “1/11 Jyuu Ichi Bun No Ichi” (2014) and rose to popularity in “Musical Tennis Ojisama 2nd Season”, going on to perform in “Tsukakohei TripleImpact”, “Romance 2015”, and “*pnish* vol. 14 “Mao JUVENILE REMIX” for the stage”, and Nozomi Maeda, Popteen-exclusive model and star of “Real Onigokko 4” (2012), and TV drama 10 “Kami No Tsuki” (NHK/2014).

With console game and comic book sales reaching more than 100,000 and 1 billion respectively, and with forays into novelizations, original animes, a drama CD (voice dramatization), and a 3DS version to be released, horror adventure game “Corpse Party” is reimagined as a live-action film! Horror veteran Masafumi Yamada, whose credits include the “Hontouni Atta Kowai Hanashi”series, “Hitori Kakurenbo - Theater Version” (2009), “Toire no Hanako-san New Theater Version” (2013), takes the helm as director. The voice behind both the game and anime series, Asami Imai, will again lend her voice for the live action film theme song.

Plot Summary



Facing goodbyes and graduation, Naomi (Rina Ikoma), her childhood friend Satoshi Ryosuke Ikeoka), and their classmates, are clearing up after their last ever cultural festival, when horror buff class president Ayumi (Nozomi Maeda) decides to summon Sachiko Ever After so they will stay friends for all eternity. What came instead was an invitation to a haunted graduation ceremony for Heavenly Host Elementary School, forced to close after a series of gruesome murders. What fate awaits Naomi and her friends at the cured school...?
