The Battle Cats Receives V3.0 Update - "Into the Future" From Ponos

Kyoto, 24 July 2015: Japan-based game developer PONOS, makers of the popular tower defense game The Battle Cats, have announced the release of Version 3.0 of their “adorably weird” worldwide hit for iOS and Android, with a huge range of new battle features, characters and unit abilities, plus a new story with dozens of hours of new stage content and bizarre enemies to challenge.

The newest iteration of the game sees the combative kitties sent by time machine to the far- flung 30th century, as they take on their next challenge in the fourth chapter of The Battle Cats saga, “Into The Future”. The Cats encounter a harsh planet conquered by extraterrestrials, with the familiar faces they fought against in the 21st century bioengineered by the otherworldly invaders into bizarre and powerful new forms. In this unforgiving battlefield of the Future, will the Cats be able to prevail? Or will they be crushed in the merciless turquoise grasp of Alien tentacles?

Fortunately, the new update also provides the Battle Cats with an array of new technology and mighty allies supporting their campaign in this unfamiliar era! With the CatCombo feature newly appearing in Version 3.0, players will be able to arrange set Cat Unit “teams” in their battle formation that will unlock a variety of combat bonuses for their whole Cat Army. Players will also be able to recruit new Cats from the earthling resistance, including the Uber Rare-class Dark Heroes – cyborg teenager Akira, caped defender CATMAN, and engineer wunderkind Mekako Saionji. All three Dark Heroes, in addition to other new allies such as Psychocat, Onmyoji Cat and Surfer Cat, have powerful abilities designed specifically for neutralizing Alien threats, making them essential to any successful campaign.

With all these new features and content, “Into the Future” heralds the beginning of a new era in the glorious campaign of The Battle Cats, adding new dimensions of oddball fun and strategic depth to a unique game experience already beloved by millions.
