Anime Impulse to Hold Brand New Gaming Maid Cafe in California
LOS ANGELES, CA - December 23rd, 2015 - A group of Southern California gaming enthusiasts have come together to create a travelling Akihabara-style maid cafe, Arcane Cafe, complete with gaming computers, live entertainment, and food for patrons. Arcane Cafe will be debuting at Anime Impulse, an anime convention at the Fairplex in Pomona on January 16-17th, 2016.
Live entertainment such as dances, solo performances, and giveaways are expected to be part of the event's programming, with a special J-pop Valentine Kiss (バレンタイン・キッス) performance dance cover.
Arcane Cafe was developed by experienced convention staffers and IT specialists who collaborated together to create this unique anime and gaming cafe hybrid. Guests should expect traditional akiba table side service, board games, and photo booth areas. Presale passes are set at $15.00, with at-door fees expected to be $20.00.
Event organizer and IT specialist Drew Kim states, "It will be a blast. We have several hosted computers, lots of sponsored giveaways, and live entertainment that will make a great experience for our guests.”
Confirmed gaming titles at the event include League of Legends, Counter-strike Global Offensive, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and DOTA 2.
Anime Impulse, which is a division of the much larger event, Asian-American Expo, will be a concurrent convention on the same date and location. Badge holders of Anime Impulse will be given free access to Asian-American Expo.
In addition to Arcane Maid Cafe, Anime Impulse will be featuring over 100 exhibitors and artist alley vendors, with guests of honors such as the legendary cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, Vampy Bit Me, Ashley Gosiengfiao, D-Piddy, Yoshi Sudarso, Peter Sudarso, Vertvixen, Amethyst, Luna Lanie, Kelly Eden, Davidson Sim, Bgirl Mislee, and more.
