Hatoful Boyfriend Creators Make Their First US Appearance in the Bay Area

AOD, the San Francisco Bay Area's anime and video game convention, has announced that Hato Moa and Damurushi will make their first American public appearance at AOD 2016. Hailing from Japan, Hato Moa and Damurushi are the creative team behind the popular Hatoful Boyfriend game series. The Hatoful Boyfriend series was originally hatched by Hato Moa as an independent game project, but quickly took off due to the strong writing behind its quirky premise, with remakes and rereleases on Steam and the PlayStation Vita as well as a new web series and plush toy line.

Fans and curious birders alike can flock to their Q&A panel on Saturday, February 13th to hear stories about the Hatoful Boyfriend games, and Hato Moa will also be sharing her experiences as a doujinshi artist at Comiket on Sunday the 14th.

Hato Moa and Damurushi released a joint statement with the announcement, saying “We are so excited as this will be the first time for us visiting the US, meeting fans at a con, and watching US wild birds. We are looking forward to meeting everyone at AOD!"
