Anime & Video Game Fans Will Converge Next Month For Florida Anime Experience

The annual Central Florida Japanese pop culture convention returns for YEAR 6: April 22-24, 2016.

(KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA, March 24, 2016) Started in 2011, Florida Anime Experience (www.FloridaAnime.com) is a three day pop culture event celebrating anime, manga, cosplay, fashion, and video games. The event boasts unique celebrity and industry guests plus over two hundred hours of programming for fans of Japanese entertainment and Asian culture. This is the convention's sixth year in Central Florida and it will take place April 22-24, 2016 at the Park Inn by Radisson Resort & Conference Center located at 3011 Maingate Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34747. Events begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22nd and run through Sunday, April 24th until 6:00 PM.

Ticket prices are $20 for Friday or Sunday, $25 for Saturday, or $45 for all three days. Advance tickets are available online through April 5, 2016 at www.FloridaAnime.com/tickets. Children three years of age and under get in for free.

As with previous years, Florida Anime Experience works to bring in unique talent for Central Florida's discerning fans. 2016 is no different as the convention will host the first ever Florida appearance of acclaimed voice actress Kate Oxley - known to anime fans as the voice of Akane Tsunemori from the Psycho-Pass series and motion picture.

Fan favorite Caitlin Glass - the voice of Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist - will return for her first appearance in the Orlando area since 2009! A veteran in the industry, she is also an ADR Director on many popular anime titles including the highly acclaimed Ouran High School Host Club.

Also scheduled to appear: AnimEigo Co-Founder Robert Woodhead, Anime Addicts Anonymous Podcast, the Central Florida Bonsai Club, Cosplay Model Amazon Mandy, Metro Orlando Judo Kai, Noise Complaint, Origami Artist Al Aki, SSAA Podcast, Steve Bennett, and Tayrex Cosplay.

Florida Anime Experience is made possible through the generous support of a number of local and national sponsors: AnimEigo, Asia Trend, Experience Kissimmee, Funimation, Glico USA, Nintendo, Nozomi Entertainment, Orlando Weekly, Section23 Films, SusHi Eatstation, The Legend of Zelda Symphony, Vidcast Network, and VIZ Media.
