Right Stuf, Inc. announces: exclusive releases of the Blu-ray edition of Turn a Gundam

GRIMES, IA, August 13, 2016 — Shawne Kleckner, President and CEO of anime distributor Right Stuf, Inc., announced new release details during his panel at Otakon 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland. Details were provided for the Sunrise/Right Stuf release of the Blu-ray edition of TURN A GUNDAM. Shawne also discussed details about the previously announced Nozomi Entertainment releases of the Blu-ray editions of GALAXY ANGEL and MARTIAN SUCCESSOR NADESICO.


RIGHT STUF EXCLUSIVES

Right Stuf, Inc. and Sunrise Inc. are excited to announce that the Mobile Suit Gundam sequel series Turn A Gundam will be released on Blu-ray in 2017. Shawne Kleckner also discussed release details for the following titles: Mobile Suit Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket, Mobile Suit Gundam F91, Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory, and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Afterglow of Zeon.

About Turn A Gundam
For 2000 years, a separate race of humanity has lived on the moon. Known as "the Moonrace," their technology is leaps and bounds beyond those that stayed behind on the Earth's surface. Now seeking to return to their original home, the Moonrace send three teenagers, Loran, Keith, and Fran, down to Earth on a reconnaissance mission to test the viability of its environment.

After spending a year on Earth, Loran has become good friends with Sochie and Kihel, daughters of the prestigious Heim family, and he looks forward to fully integrating into Earth society. But before Loran gets the chance to make his report, the Moonrace launch a surprise attack. Earth's primitive airplanes are no match for the superior power of the Moonrace's mobile suits. However, in the midst of the initial attack, Loran and Sochie uncover a long-forgotten relic: a white mobile suit. As a Moonrace, Loran is quickly able to grasp the basics of piloting it, but by doing so, he inadvertently places himself in the middle of a war.

Turn A Gundam will be released in two Blu-ray collections in early 2017 featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles.

About Mobile Suit Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket

Universal Century 0083. Having triumphed in the One-Year War, the Earth Federation has grown complacent, while the last remnants of Zeonic forces have been planning one final stand. With a nuclear-equipped Gundam missing and their pride wounded, the Federation ship Albion and rookie pilot Kou Uraki set out in pursuit of the Zeonic thieves and the stolen Gundam.

About Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Afterglow of Zeon
Nina Purpleton is caught up in the maelstrom of the Delaz Conflict, and she sees the story from beginning to end. She remembers how the trouble started when the experimental Gundam GP02A was stolen, and she recalls the sight of men who were willing to die for their cause… The Delaz Conflict begins in the vast land of Australia, and as the violence continues to escalate, the theater of war moves into outer space. And always at the heart of the storm are Kou Uraki and Anavel Gato, two men whose fates are intertwined. Kou, who is forced to endure an increasing number of humiliations at Gato's hands, and who constantly chases his longtime enemy… Gato, who has devoted his life to reviving the Principality of Zeon, and who acts as the core of the Delaz Fleet... The struggle between these two men takes a sudden turn when the GP02A attacks the naval review, and immediately afterwards, a plot to drop a colony is quickly set into motion. Afterglow of Zeon (also known as The Last Blitz of Zeon) will be released for the first time ever in North America on DVD and Blu-ray in early 2017 and will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles.


PREVIOUSLY DISCUSSED NOZOMI ENTERTAINMENT BLU-RAY RELEASES

GALAXY ANGEL
Nozomi Entertainment announced its license for Galaxy Angel, the science fiction comedy anime directed by Morio Asaka (Sword Art Online, Gunslinger Girl, Chobits) and featuring animation from Madhouse (Black Lagoon, Death Note, Magic User's Club). Galaxy Angel consists of 26 episodes and focuses on The Angel Brigade, an elite branch of the Transvaal Empire military, as they travel to different planets using their specially designed ships to search for "Lost Technology." Unfortunately, they often mess up and land in all kinds of awkward situations.

Galaxy Angel will be released in early 2017 on Blu-ray with English and Japanese audio with English subtitles.

MARTIAN SUCCESSOR NADESICO
Nozomi Entertainmen also announced the upcoming Blu-ray release of Martian Successor Nadesico. Martian Successor Nadesico is a science-fiction comedy directed by Tatsuo Sato (Bodacious Space Pirates, Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars, Stellvia), with character designs by Keiji Gotoh (Sengoku Collection, Uta~Kata) and animation production by XEBEC (The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye, Fafner, Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne).

About Martian Successor Nadesico
The Earth, its moon and its Martian colonies are under alien attack, but the war against the “Jovian lizards” has, so far, been nothing short of a series of disasters.
