Announcing Skip Beat! English Dubs of Songs With All-star Lineup

San Francisco – Tuesday October 25, 2016 – Pied Piper, Inc. is proud to announce four songs to be recorded in English for the official Skip Beat! dub with Mela Lee, Cristina Vee, Erica Lindbeck and Nathan Sharp as featured vocalists. The 25 Episode dub is being funded by 1,600+ Kickstarter backers, who contributed over $225,000 toward Skip Beat! official North America DVD/Blu-ray release, as well as additional funding being raised on Backerkit through November 15th. The dub stars Caitlin Glass as Kyoko Mogami and is executive produced by Mela Lee, with Cristina Vee serving as casting director and Taliesin Jaffe as head director.

Exclusive pre-order rewards (Official Skip Beat jacket, Deluxe Edition DVD/Blu-ray combo set, posters signed by the dub team) are available through November 15th on Backerkit. The DVD and Blu-ray will be released for general retail sale in North America in 2017.

Accomplished musician and lead vocalist for Magnolia Memoir, which has been hailed for “unexpected shades of Radiohead, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen. Blissfully dark, harmonically and lyrically inventive and honest” (Devon Wendell, International Review of Music). Mela's standout anime voice acting performances include Rin Tohsaka in Fates/Stay: Night, Shinku in Rozen Maiden, Natalie in Scrapped Princess, Darry in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Rena Ryugu in Higurashi: When They Cry, Yuki Cross in Vampire Knight, and Erika Karisawa in Durarara!!. Voice actress adored by anime and video game fans for her passion and artistry. Cristina built a passionate Youtube fan base for her vocal work and provides vocals to songs in Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage!? and Shantae: Half Genie Hero. Her voice acting credits include Sailors Mars in Sailor Moon, Mio Akiyama in K-ON!, Alisa Bosconovitch in Tekken Blood Vengeance, Homura Akemi in Madoka Magica, Morgiana in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, the eleven Honoka sisters in Netflix's Knights of Sidonia, Cubone (and others) in Pokemon Origins and Riruka Dokugamine in Bleach.
