Friday October 19th-Sunday October 21st at the Marriott Wardman Park. The 2018 lineup consists of:

AkiDearest

Aki, also known as AkiDearest, is an otaku/anime based YouTuber with over 1.5 million subscribers. Since her blow up in 2016, Aki has created rants, parodies, and all around enjoyment for anime and otaku culture, including Japan vlogs. Come join her on her latest adventure through Anime USA 2018!

Gaijin Goombah

Gaijin Goombah, or simply GG as he is known in some circles, is an American cultural edutainment YouTuber and is the host of "Culture Shock" and "Which Ninja". Goombah's original show on the Game Exchange channel began on his personal channel, where it can still be found, discussing cultural references in games as well as the inspiration behind games.

The Anime Man

The Anime Man, better known as Joey, is a Japanese-Australian YouTuber. Boasting over 1.5 million subscribers, he is known as the biggest YouTube personality on the internet. Predominantly covering anime analysis, critiques and discussions, he also focuses his rant, vlog, and skit-styled educational comedy videos on other topics including manga, light novels, gaming, Japanese language and culture, as well as other derivatives of general otaku cultural analysis using his fluent native-level Japanese to his advantage. He has also branched out into other departments, including voice acting, radio, music, writing and acting; more recently starting to make a name for himself under his Japanese alias: Ikuru Kamijou. He has also worked closely with many big Japanese and Western organizations dabbling in the anime industry including KADOKAWA, Kodansha, Visual Art's/Key, Frontwing, Funimation, Viz Media, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Fakku, Tokyo Otaku Mode and many more. Having met and collaborated with a plethora of anime and non-anime youtubers and personalities, Joey is here to get creative, get weird and have fun with everyone while it counts!

Anime USA's YouTube guests will be hosting various panels to talk about their various paths into the business, and tell their stories about determination, networking, and growing and nurturing a social presence. They will also host questions from those in attendance and give fans and aspiring Youtubers insight into the serious side of being a social star. For more information on these and their other guests, please visit Anime USA at http://www.animeusa.org

About Anime USA: Anime USA began in 1999 as a 3-day Japanese animation convention in Washington D.C. started by fans. In 2004, Anime USA formed a non-profit educational organization to host the convention. Anime USA's mission is to promote, as well as educate the public about Japanese arts and popular culture. As in the beginning, Anime USA remains a convention of Otaku, by Otaku, for Otaku. Anime USA is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit managed solely by a staff of volunteers.

New for Anime USA 2018, Anime USA is pleased to announce a programming track dedicated to popular YouTube personalities. This track will focus on those personalities that cross into the anime, manga, gaming and Japanese culture genres and their thoughts, ideas and commentary on their various aspects.

Anime USA will take place October 19th-21st 2018 at the Marriott Wardman Park 2660 Woodley Rd NW, Washington, DC 20008
