Score Entertainment: Yu Yu Hakusho - Poised to Conquer All

Dec. 19, 2003--Score Entertainment, makers of the highly-acclaimed Yū Yū Hakusho(TM) Trading Card Game, in conjunction with other licensees, will energize this already immensely popular anime property with high-octane marketing and support programs next year. These plans coincide with the anime show itself moving back to the Toonami block on Cartoon Network.
Starting January 5, the original run of Yū Yū Hakusho episodes will air Monday through Thursday. Immediately following that run, the remainder of the previously unaired episodes will run in the same timeslot, fanning the flames of consumer demand.

Following on this trend, Score Entertainment plans to unleash their Organized Play program both in local hobby stores and Premiere Level events at conventions for 2004. Additionally, the OP program will be supported by specially collectible booster packs, exclusive tournament promos, and top-tier event structuring.

This program comes amid a flurry of activity from other licensees of the brand. Jakks Pacific, Inc. is continuing their line of Yū Yū Hakusho action figures, which offers consumers highly detailed sculpts of the anime characters. Atari, Inc., another extremely strong licensee, has recently released a game for the Game Boy Advance. Yū Yū Hakusho: Spirit Detective.

The brand is very active in every avenue, which allows many of the licensees, including Score Entertainment, to combine their energies, such as the upcoming QSR promotion. Coming in March, Score Entertainment will partner with fellow licensees and Carl's Jr. and Hardee's® restaurants for Cool Kids(TM)- a program that is slated to give out an estimated 3 million premiums to consumers, featuring Yū Yū Hakusho TCG cards, figural promos through more than 3,137 restaurants.

Thus, with all the marketing juice being focused here, 2004 is shaping up to truly be the year of Yū Yū Hakusho.
