All three titles are set to hit the streets on February 6!

AIR GEAR: EAST SIDE SHOWDOWN

Ride Hard, Fly High!

ADV Films is proud to announce the inaugural arrival of Air Gear, one of the most anticipated series of the new year. Volume one of this high-flying shounen adventure rolls on to the streets February 6.

Based on the hit manga series by OhGreat! (Tenjho Tenge) and produced by Toei Animation (Dragonball Z, Zatch Bell), Air Gear is set in a world with a need for speed. This is the un-edited version that fans have been waiting for, so say good-bye to the crows and get ready for Air Gear to go!

Synopsis: Welcome to the world of Storm Riders, where motor-powered inline skates called "Air Treks" take extreme sports to a whole new level. Those who dare to ride with these high tech devices risk life and limb in a struggle for fame, power and wings to take to the sky. Enter Ikki Minami, the toughest fighter on the east side of town. He rules his school, takes on violent gangs single-handedly and lives with the Noyamanos; four sexy sisters with a surprising secret. And after a humiliating defeat to a terrifying gang of Storm Riders, the sisters welcome him to the world of Air Trek, where his strength, speed and ambitions soar to brand new heights. Now, with powerful new wings, he must protect his friends, his school and his pride in fierce Air Trek battles known as "Parts Wars". One mistake could cost him everything, but each victory brings him one step closer to becoming the king of the sky.

PANIPONI DASH!: GIRLS N' ROSES

“Its Wonderfully Bizarre, Frenetic, Abstract And To-Die-For Funny!” – DVD Talk

ADV Films is pleased to bring a series sure to leave your stomach aching with laughter! The second installment of Paniponi Dash! is slated to hit store shelves on February 6. The second volume will also be available in a special collector's edition box featuring gorgeous artwork!

From studios Gansis and Shaft (Negima!?) and Director Akiyuki Shinobi (Petite Cossette) comes a hilarious new high school comedy that should appeal to fans of Excel Saga and Azumanga Daioh. Join Becky, the gang, and one really depressed bunny as they get themselves into all sorts of trouble on and around campus.

Synopsis: While most classes take excursions to museums or zoos, if your teacher is an 11 year-old genius with a penchant for trouble—and your class is filled with high-wired teenage girls—your field trips are definitely trippier. You do things like investigate a haunted schoolhouse, crash on a strange island, shake it like Shakira at Brazil's carnivale, or maybe even practice your bomb detonating skills. (Uh-oh.) Yes, the bell has rung and it's time to start another semester of the hilariously explosive comedy Anime News Network says is “so random and goofy one can't help but smile the whole time.”

Paniponi Dash!: Girls N' Roses (SRP $29.98 DVD) is an anamorphic DVD-only release including five episodes, presented in both English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include AD Vid-notes™, the video short “In Class With the Cast”, a “CD Spot Medley”, clean closing animation, plus previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.

PAPUWA: MACHO MARATHON

“The Most Hilarious Anime I've Ever Seen.” – Anime-Planet.com

ADV is proud to bring you the fourth volume of the series bound to delight all lovers of weirdness. The crazy, goofy, loopy fun continues when Papuwa: Macho Marathon hits store shelves on February 6!

Pretty boy Kotaro finds himself stranded on a remote tropical island with no memory of how he got there. Now, under the questionable care of the young Papuwa, Kotaro begins his new life of bizarre adventures in a world of transvestite fish, fruity pink dinosaurs and hallucination-inducing mushrooms. Join the zany characters and goofy good times that make Papuwa a great comedy!

Synopsis: Are you man enough to be a maid? In an attempt to shed his girly exterior and become a man among men, Kotaro has ventured deep into the musty Man Hole. To pass the treacherous trial he must face a sexy squid man, blood sucking bats and hungry hamsters with a taste for human flesh. To make matters worse, a sudden flood awakens a haunting memory that opens the door to his tragic past. Next, Liquid's patience is put to the test on the manliest of holidays: Father's Day. Kotaro and Papuwa empty his bank account and buy him a series of life-threatening gifts including a rodent-powered papier-mâché low-rider. After a one-way trip to a bad case of whiplash, the miserable maid is invited to a dangerously alcoholic tea party, where the demented drunkards of the Special Battle Unit share a series of shockingly disturbing memories of their fathers. The rainy season brings more doom and gloom for Liquid as a violent run-in with Koji and his estrogen-impaired sister renders him unable to complete the housework. Before the dirty dishes can pile up, Papuwa prepares a death-defying obstacle course to decide who will fill his man maid's shoes. Maid applicants must hustle and flex their muscle as they walk planks, whack weeds and take flying drumsticks to the face in the manliest maid match up of the millennium. Experience alien abductions, bone-crushing brotherly love and home-cooking from hell in the fourth, hamster-powered volume of Papuwa.

Papuwa: Macho Marathon (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including four side-splitting episodes, presented in both English 2.0 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include translator notes, a character art gallery, plus clean opening animation, clean closing animation, and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
