Want to listen to Final Fantasy music? Already donated your CD player? No worries! Now fans can use their newfangled Blu-ray Disc players to enjoy the tunes from the classic Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III games.
Square Enix is offering the FINAL FANTASY I.II.III Original Soundtrack Revival Disc collection, which includes more than 90 tracks from the first three Final Fantasy games. The Blu-ray Discs include game videos to watch while listening to the soundtrack music. The release also includes MP3 files, so fans can listen to the music on their PCs or smartphones.
The set costs 5,000 yen (about US$46) and is slated for release on August 15.
Composer Nobuo Uematsu is collaborating on separate projects to give fans more chances to appreciate the series' music. He selected songs for an orchestral concert that aired on television earlier this month, and he will appear at Otakon for Final Fantasy concerts in August.
