Square Enix to Bring Street Fighter Illustrator Akiman to Anime Expo

The official Twitter account for Square Enix's Star Ocean game series announced on Thursday that Square Enix will bring illustrator Akiman (Akira Yasuda) to this year's Anime Expo as a guest. Akiman will have illustration and autograph sessions, and will have events at both the Crunchyroll HQ area and the Square Enix booth.
Akiman is a former employee of CAPCOM, and drew character designs and illustrations for iconic game franchises such as Street Fighter II, Darkstalkers, X-Men: Children of the Atom, and Breath of Fire. He also worked on character designs for Turn A Gundam and Bodacious Space Pirates, and provided mechanical designs for Overman King Gainer, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and Gundam: Reconguista in G. He recently provided character designs and illustrations for Square Enix's Star Ocean: Anamnesis smartphone game.
This year's Anime Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 5 to July 8, with a pre-show event on July 4.
