Crunchyroll Streams Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club Anime With English Dub

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it has added an English-dubbed version of the first Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club anime season. The dub is streaming worldwide except for certain Asian territories.
The announcement revealed the English dub cast members, who reprise their roles from Funimation's Free! Eternal Summer dub of the second season:
- Todd Haberkorn as Haruka Nanase
- Johnny Yong Bosch as Makoto Tachibana
- Greg Ayres as Nagisa Hazuki
- J. Michael Tatum as Rei Ryugazaki
- Vic Mignogna as Rin Matsuoka
The dub is available worldwide except in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Vietnam, Timor-Leste, Palau and Papua New Guinea, South Korea and Japan.

Nanase Haruka loved to be in the water - loved swimming. In elementary school, Nanase Haruka, Tachibana Makoto, Matsuoka Rin, and Hazuki Nagisa attended the same swimming class together. Time passed, and as Haruka was living an uneventful high school life, he suddenly encountered Rin again. Rin challenged Haruka to a race and showed him how much stronger he had become. Soon enough, Makoto and Nagisa also rejoined the group, and along with a new classmate, Ryugazaki Rei, they established the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club.
Discotek Media released the series on DVD on May 4 with English subtitles only. When Discotek Media acquired the anime, it mentioned at the time that a dubbed version may be released in the future. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
Funimation will release Free! Eternal Summer, the series' second season, on Blu-ray and DVD on February 16 with an English dub. Crunchyroll also streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
An anime film prequel titled High Speed! -Free! Starting Days- opened in Japan on December 5.
