Blue Encount, Sayuri Perform Theme Songs for My Hero Academia Anime's 4th Season

New season premieres on October 12

This year's 39th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced the theme song artists on Monday for the fourth season of the My Hero Academia anime. Blue Encount (Banana Fish, Gintama) will perform the opening theme song "Polaris," and Sayuri (ERASED, Golden Kamuy) will perform the ending theme song "Kōkai no Uta" ("About a voyage").

The anime will premiere on October 12, and will air on YTV and NTV on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Funimation will stream the season as it airs in Japan.

New cast members include Shinichirō Miki as Sir Nighteye, Rie Murakawa as Bubble Girl, and Kazuyuki Okitsu is as Fat Gum.

The anime's first 13-episode season premiered in April 2016, and then the 25-episode second season premiered in April 2017. The 25-episode third season premiered in April 2018, and Funimation also streamed the English dub of the third season. Crunchyroll and Hulu streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan.

The My Hero Academia: Two Heroes film opened in Japan last August. The franchise is receiving a second film titled Boku no Hero Academia the Movie -Heroes: Rising- that will open on December 20.
