3x3 Eyes (OAV) Both OVAs really need to be viewed together. I really liked the ending and the conflict Pavo had to face, realizing who she was at the end was great. Yakumo's struggle to come to terms with his new reality was also really done well. He really had to come to grips with the fact he'd never be able to be a part of society again, good stuff all around.
3x3 Eyes Seima Densetsu (OAV) See first OVA for full commentary.
Accel World (TV)
Adieu Galaxy Express 999 (movie)
Ah! My Goddess: The Movie Had a good plot and really was going somewhere up until the very end. I haven't read the manga, and maybe it's just me but I felt it was way too ham-fisted to have Keiichi and Belldandy effortlessly pass through the gate of destiny. I was hoping for Celestine to have been right about it being rigged and making the conflict of the movie far more bitter and morally ambiguous. Of course that'd probably have messed up the manga, which I never read.
Air Gear (TV)
Akira (movie) it's a classic, how can you not have seen Akira at least once?
Angelic Layer (TV) Typical Kiddie show. Has some interesting personal conflicts going on but the whole thing gets watered down by going after a younger audience. I also thought that Hikaru's magical recoveries during certain parts of the anime were poorly executed. They had her get up magically just because they wanted to, disregarding explaining the entire concept of how she'd be able to do that at all. I guess it's an okay show, for kids.
Appleseed (movie) Pretty good action anime, but what is up with the cell shading? I'm sorry but they half assed it. You cell shade everything, or nothing. What they had looked so horribly disjointed and out of place it was visually jarring at times. Consistency people! consistency!
Aquarion (TV)
Aquarion Evol (TV)
Arjuna (TV)
Armitage III: Poly-Matrix (movie) Another classic, it's kind of hammy at times but I liked the overall execution enough. The subtext of Ross becoming more and more machine as time passed was also brilliant and I liked how they made the characters vulnerable. Not even Armitage was an unstoppable super hero.
Armitage: Dual-Matrix (movie) Not quite as good as the original but close, I like that they continued the same political story of android extermination, and the last bits were pretty classic, good stuff.

Banner of the Stars II (TV) See Crest of the Stars
Berserk (TV 1997) Masterpiece I really enjoyed Berserk, even after comparing it to the manga it did pretty well given the constraints that it had. In fact, my only real issue with the anime was that they had revealed the true nature of the world before the eclipse. I'd have preferred it if Zod and other supernatural characters were only vaguely hinted at beforehand, and then suddenly the eclipse could've happened and totally shocked everyone. Still, sadly it ends too soon, but at the rate the Manga gets published who can say if Berserk will ever see an end before the Mangaka dies?

Boogiepop and Others (live-action movie) Decent, wish they'd dubbed it over. Gave me the backstory to boogiepop phantom. I really should have watched this first
Boogiepop Phantom (TV) Great anime, but needs to come with a disclaimer to read the manga or watch the movie first. I wish it wasn't as disjointed chronologically as it was but I know some people just think that cutting and splicing parts of a story is sooooo original and creative.

Cowboy Bebop (TV) Great show, very gritty and real but not above comedy either, combined with the movie it tells a full story from start to finish. No other anime has ever left me more satisfied at the end, when it's over, it IS over and feels that way.
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie see the TV series
Crest of the Stars (TV) Overall an okay series. The dubbing was pretty bland and I wished that they'd been able to inject some more emotion (dramatic and comedic) into the series, but it still had a nice buildup. It shows how many young lives can get swept up in the fury of galactic conflict and how it affects everyone, even those of high rank or nobility.

Dragon Ball Z (TV) ....well, I was in the target age range when it came out....and I happened to have developed a distatste for funimation and wanted uncut stuff, so I used fansubs to look ahead.

E.Y.E.S. of Mars (movie) Saw it on the sci-fi channel a summer long long ago, amazing movie.
El-Hazard: The Wanderers (TV) I need to get a hold of the OVAs, was pretty decent, but felt a bit too hammy at times for me.
Elemental Gelade (TV) iffy Shonen anime series. I felt that the series wasn't really well developed though. The entire plot regarding "Eldel Reids" and humans (their "pleasures.") was just entirely too obvious a euphemism for sex and how women are viewed in society. So the entire series came off as too preachy and goody-goody for my tastes. Still, fighting and explosions were nice, but there was no real depth to it.
Elfen Lied (TV) Without a doubt one of the best anime in existence. Elfen lied epitomizes the style that is anime. It tells a story and pulls no punches in doing so. There's violence, blood, gore, nudity and even a little light foreplay on one scene, but none of it feels out of place. It all fits within the confines of telling the story. It can be comedic, dramatic and horribly tragic and the characters feel like you can connect to them (With the exception of the incestuous cousin...but that's a Japan thing I guess.) The only thing stopping it from being perfect was it was so tragicly short and so apparently not over by the end of episode 13. Oh why, why did it have to stop?! ;_;
Ergo Proxy (TV) I really liked this, it starts off being a bit slow and disjointed but eventually the pace picks up. I did wish they had taken more time to explain the situation at the start but I suppose that'd have revealed some secrets too early that hinged on the audience going "WTF is up." I do wish it was longer though, the ending leaves me wondering if a new conflict is looming over the world.
Excel Saga (TV) I never really liked Excel Saga at first but over time it grew on me. I loved the ending, even if they had to go away from the manga.
Fafner (TV) Slightly above average shonen Mecha anime. At times though the characters broke with the realistic atmosphere and became a bit too cliched. It also needed more exposition on the entire background of the world, the Aliens, and how the world came to be as it is.
Fairy Tail (TV)
Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture Saw it long ago on the Sci-Fi channel, decent action movie but not much else.
Fate/stay night (TV)
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (movie) It was okay I guess, had great action sequences but it felt like there wasn't enough time for telling the actual story behind it and justifying it. Many people thought it should've been shorter, I wished it were longer.
FLCL (OAV) Totally off the wall nonsense I was forced to watch. It's not bad, but it's just...well...WEIRD! and coming from me, that means something.
Freezing (TV)
Freezing Vibration (TV)
Full Metal Panic! (TV) It was above average but it felt like they kept having to play balancing acts between the comedy and drama.
Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid (TV) Absolutely amazing, the character development was steller and so real and believable. You could feel the tension and the conflict between Kanami and Souske. I also loved how they actually highlighted the stress and tension having these two lives with high demands placed on Souske. Only bad part again, tragically short.
Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid (OAV) Funny filler episode, especially the part with the lieutennant and his anime stash, but that's it.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (TV) Okay comedy wise, but it's lacking by itself. It should've been inserted into the first FMP TV show proper.
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) Good, but overrated. I liked the show but at times something just felt missing. There was some spark or some element that this didn't have that kept it from reaching it's apex.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV)
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie - Conqueror of Shamballa Nice conclusion to the series, good action, but I wish more was explained directly instead of just inferring X or Y had happened.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (movie)
Fushigi Yugi (TV) I loved FY, and bag on me all you want it was a great anime. Now admitedly it had a lot of Shoujo style unrealistic romance, but in this case it fit! Tamahome is a fictional character, so him not acting and behaving like a real man actually is perfectly sensible and him falling in love with miaka is reduced down to a mere function the book has. I also liked the continuation of the story about what happened afterwards. I only wish that the whole story behind the book's purpose and creation was actually revealed.

(The) Future Diary (TV)
Galaxy Express 999 (movie)
Gantz (TV) Gantz I felt was truly Amazing, up until the end. The fact of the matter is that the anime was an amazing adaptation of the manga, but as soon as it broke from that the entire thing went to pieces. If only they'd continued making Gantz along with the Manga and not done that filler ending, it would have been truly awesome.
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (TV)
Genocyber (OAV) I saw this many many moons ago at a buddy's birthday. I was dosing off between scenes so I probably didn't see it all. I liked how tragic it seemed though. Men really are such cruel animals.
Getbackers (TV) Good light hearted action/comedy, but again, obviously not over! WTF?! they're at the gate to babylon city and they just walk away? like that? that's it?! They need to finish the story with the Brain trust and get it over with.
Ghost in the Shell (movie) Classic movie, good plot and interesting revalations about reality. Though it was so completely eclipsed by the TV series.
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (movie) Decent sequel, I liked how they worked in the plot of altering the optical implants to hide things or present false images. The part where they almost get trapped in their own heads is great too. Again though, out shined.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (TV) So much better than the movie it's scary. The characters are real, the world is gritty and it's an intelligent and cerebral police drama that's also not short on the action either. Political subplots are great too. I kind of wish it were longer but at least when they end a story, they really do end the story. So credit is deserved for that. Also....I <3 Tachikomas!
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG (TV) See first TV series.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society (movie)
Gilgamesh (TV) Very sad, dramatic anime. I really liked the buildup and everything right up until the very end. It was so tragically sad to see these people, now with someone to care for and care about, who'd fought, suffered, and bled constantly inside and out, to one by one be squashed like bugs in an instant. It felt wrong. I mean not that I wouldn't have minded their dying, but they should have at least dyed to prevent tragedy versus being rolled over by the wheels of fate. Saaaad, saaad anime.
Green Green (OAV) See TV series.
Green Legend Ran (OAV) Saw it on the Sci-fi Channel long ago, pretty good stuff. I loved that giant sandship, good scenery.
GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka (TV) Half decent but damn does it drag and at times the episodes are just so predictable and formulaic.
Guilty Crown (TV)
Gungrave (TV) Actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Decent action anime with an okay plot. The only real flaw was that the character of Brandon was just too unbeliabable. He didn't seem real in any sense of the word.
Gunsmith Cats (OAV) Okay, fun to watch, but nothing stellar.
GUNxSWORD (TV) I really liked Gun X Sword, even if the characters sometimes bordered a bit too far on the supernatural side of their abilities (without adiquate explanation.) The ending was really good though, but a tad formulaic.
Hand Maid May (TV) Too much fan service, and too openly Haremish but I really liked the ending.
Hellsing (TV) pretty good for just the action, but Alucard was just too invincible and of course the story never really answered anything.
Hellsing Ultimate (OAV) MUCH better than the TV series, but damn does it take forever to be released...At least Funimation kept the original voice cast though.
Heroic Age (TV)
High School of the Dead (TV)
Ikki Tousen (TV) I think I bought this just to buy something (there was a buy one get one free deal) and I liked the opening. The action was okay but at times too unbelievable, they never really explain the system of powers and abilities and it was waaay too fanservicy and ecchi. It's like it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a hentai of an ecchi action/comedy. Also, again, non-ending (GRRRR!!!)
Infinite Ryvius (TV) Masterpiece Absolutely fantastic drama, essentially lord of the flies in space and then some. I loved every minute of it, but again goddamnit non-ending! You don't end the series sending the main characters out on a new quest!!!
INTERSTELLA 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (movie) First example I was shown of something anime-ish made for someone outside of Japan, good stuff.
Iria - Zeiram the Animation (OAV) Another classic, I originally caught the tail end of it on the Sci-Fi channel and had to own it. I really wish they'd gone forewards and made a TV series or continued the OVA through the movies.
(The) irregular at magic high school (TV)
(The) Irresponsible Captain Tylor (OAV) See TV Series
(The) Irresponsible Captain Tylor (TV) Altogether an okay older comedy anime. I just really wish that they'd actually had some more real fighting in the entire thing. Captain Tylor just seemed to get off randomly on entirely his own luck and charm. He never once had to really make any hard decisions until the OVAs and even then there were barely any real shots traded. I felt a bit left down by the fact that this was a spare-war setting, yet entirely without any real sense of space warfare. Comedy can co-exist with action people!

Karas (OAV) Very good action anime, nice and tragic story too. I loved the sword play and the fights. My only real complaint was the wait between discs I had and also the fact that they didn't properly cell shade all their CG. non-cell shaded CG looks so horribly out of place.
Karneval (TV)
Kekkaishi (TV)
Kiddy Grade (TV)
Kill la Kill (TV)
Last Exile (TV) Amazing anime, touching story, great voice cast. The only downside was the ending, it was a giang WTF all over again. I think the story really wasn't over either.
Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers (TV) I saw this eons ago on I think UPN. Typical Shonen action anime but still good if that's all you're after.
Little Nemo - Adventures in Slumberland (movie) I never even knew this was an anime. I was eight when it came out in theaters and I loved the Little Nemo NES game so of course I saw it.
Log Horizon (TV)
Lost Universe (TV)
Love Hina (TV) I liked this show, it had some decent drama and good comedy, but goddamn. Does Keitaro really have to be everyone's punching bag? That got ridiculous at times.

Love Hina Spring Special - I Wish Your Dream See TV Show

Macross Plus (OAV) Saw it eons ago at a friend's birthday party, looked like a decent action anime. I can't remember much else.
Magi: The Kingdom of Magic (TV)
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (TV)
Magic Knight Rayearth (TV) I was really shocked by Rayearth. It looked so childish and hopelessly formulaic only to throw that twist at the end. The sequel was also equally good but I felt like it needed to be more tragic. Like I really wished that either Nova had to be destroyed or she'd done something truly horrific before the end to make everyone feel like they could never really forgive her. Either way, decent stuff.
Magic Knight Rayearth 2 (TV) See First TV show.
Majestic Prince (TV)
MAOYU (TV)
Martian Successor Nadesico (TV) Absolutely amazing Sci-fi action/comedy. I really loved the story, pacing and even the fillers. The characters were also startlingly realistic too. My only complaint, again goddamn you! no more non-endings! I hate hate hate non-endings! I also even read some story where supposedly the original creator said he couldn't complete Nadesico for some reason.
Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture - Prince of Darkness This movie was a giant WTF again. It jumps out ahead of the series to after everything magically got resolved, without ever even hinting at how (very cheap) and throws this other plot at is without warning. It's okay action wise but this movie acts like Nadesico was actually completed and we all know of the strange events leading up to the movie's plot. The ending also just sucked, the final battle had all this climactic buildup and it's over in under ten seconds, again WTF?!
Mekakucity Actors (TV)
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV) Nice and kind of sweet but way too over-rated. When you come down to it Kyon basically is an over-rated babysitter who has to watch over Haruhi and pacify her every need so the world won't end. That seems a bit weak. I'm sure as they continue the series things will get more fleshed out and complicated with the characters...I hope.
(The) Melody of Oblivion (TV) Slightly above average action/comedy/drama TV show. I wish they'd explained more over the course of the show though. It was also a little too fanservice heavy for my tastes. Why does Bocca's holy mark look cool and empowering when he charges his arrow yet the girls' holy marks both make them look like something out of a hentai when they charge theirs? The ending was also a bit too happy for my tastes.
Metropolis (movie) Saw this a while back when it was realeased. It's okay I guess, but pretty weird.
Mobile Fighter G Gundam (TV) If you're looking for a decent Shonen gundam style anime, this is it. It takes Gundam and throws out all of the politics and drama and instead replaces it with your typical martial-artist-with-a-tragic-past-rising-to-greatness story. It is interesting though to see the re-imagined Gundams that now are controlled via skin-tight sensory suits that mimic the pilot's movements. Just don't expect any real depth from this series and you'll be just fine.
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (TV)
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (TV) Okay sci-fi action/drama, but I felt at times the characters acted unbeliabably and that their situations were just a bit too far fetched. It all came together a bit oddly and it just felt a little unsettling after the dust settled at the end.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (TV) Decent Tv show, though I think to an extent they needed to give much more backstory on the pilots, since as they were they seemed a bit too perfect without first explaining how or why. The political philosophy is interesting but I wanted to bitch slap Relena idealogically for her talk on pacifism, it's utter tripe.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (OAV) Good conclusion, gives more backstory and makes the pilots more human, though Trowa's backstory really just gives us far more questions than answers (How was a teenage mechanic able to just pilot a suit so flawlessly without training for years?) Okay all together.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team (OAV)
MoonPhase (TV)
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse (TV)
Naruto (TV) I liked it, was a tad kiddy but very nice character driven drama especially once they got more into the Sauske story. The pacing was off a little on some parts but otherwise it had an amazing ebb and flow that lent itself well to the genre. The movies started to get a bit stale after the first one though since it basically was the same formula repeated over and over again and never really advanced anything. Only big issue was the dreaded filler, it eventually really did start to get to me, even me.
Naruto Shippūden (TV) On one hand, I really like the story, on the other I Hate hate hate the pacing! This literally is Naruto Ball Z. We have episodes not even taking up a whole chapter of the manga, with two week breaks in between them. We have Naruto powering up for two whole episodes, and one episode just focusing on inner monologue. What gives here people? I know you don't want to catch up to the manga too fast, but you seriously risk losing the fanbase with this BS. Shape up!
Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom (movie 3) See TV Series
Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel (movie 2) See TV Series
Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow See TV Series.
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) Good but overrated, I wanted to slap shinji upside the head quite a few times too. The ending was also a giant WTF all over again.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie) The real ending of Eva. I just don't watch the last two episodes and watch this instead, it flows and works so much better and is still suitably trippy. I only wish they'd explained more of the specifics about the angels and the whole God thing but still, good stuff.
Nightwalker: The Midnight Detective (TV) I liked Nightwalker partially. The big issue was that out of its entire twelve episodes only three followed any sort of linear plot. It was as if the entire anime was filler originally planned for a much longer series. There's no real ending at the end at all, but then again the conflict between Shido and his sire were even barely explored to begin with. If only this series had been developed more. -_-;;

Nobunaga The Fool (TV)
Nobunagun (TV)
Noragami (TV)
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan (TV)
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital (TV)
Oh My Goddess! (OAV) Decent story, kind of sweet but a bit too formulaic and unrealistic at times. I loved the ending though.
One Piece (TV 1999)
Outlaw Star (TV) Great sci-fi action anime, I loved the plot and the characters. I wish it were darker though...and I also wish it was longer. I wanted more Gene Starwind, Jim Hawking, Melfina, Aisha and Suzuka ;_;
Paranoia Agent (TV) Very very trippy, I actually liked the ending though, and how the little slugger became the literal embodyment of everyone who just wishes they had some convenient excuse out of their control for why they couldn't preform their duty.
Parasyte -the maxim- (TV)
Perfect Blue (movie) Good movie, very trippy, nice story. Though I actually kind of wish the ending had become more paranormal and less "mutual psychosis."
Persona 4: The Animation (TV)
Please Teacher! (TV) Kind hearted and half-decent romantic comedy. I still feel like the whole standstill thing was an excuse to marry a fifteen year old to his teacher and say "but...ummm...he's really not 15! yeah! it's not illegal...ummm...because he was frozen in time for three years! and that totally counts!" That said they integrated it into the story very nicely so I can almost overlook it. Though I really felt that Mizuho was a bit too unreal. I've never met any real woman ever that supportive dedicated or willing to risk things like that for some fifteen year old kid she just started to know. You can partially excuse her because her character's half alien, so maybe that's their culture. Still, she feels way too unbelievable especially at the end. I also wanted the end to be more tragic, it should've been her leaving him, or if she did come back there should've been a story about both of them having to literally fight the galactic government for their right to love one another and live together. So many missed opportunities.
Please Teacher! (OAV) See TV Series
Please Twins! (TV) I liked this much more than the first series, it's much more real and believable considering the characters, though I think how both Mina and Karen accepted Martia (or however you spell it) as normal without question was a bad move. I also did truly hate how they turned Matigu into this incestuous pervert, it just felt like a travesty.
Please Twins! (OAV) See TV Series

Puni Puni Poemy (OAV) Absolute nonsensical comedy a-la excel saga. I liked that they finally showed Kumi Kumi's face. Good stuff.
RahXephon (TV)
Reborn! (TV)
Robotics;Notes (TV)
Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996) I like to think of Kenshin as a poor man's Trigun. Even though Kenshin came first Trigun took the entire concept of Kenshin and executed it much, much better. Only the early OVAS were really very good, as they portrayed Kenshin's brutal past. Yet somehow, this man manages to live without ever dying or even getting another scar yet refusing to ever kill anyone. Shishio's death via internal combustion was also equally ham-fisted. The one villain who would never stop killing and "ooh, noope, you magically burn to death all on your own so kenshin will never have to kill!" The ending OVA was also equally weird. Kenshin and Kaoru mysteriously die of some illness that causes their flesh to appear to be burning to cinders and no one ever even mentions what it is or how they caught it! So much lost potential. -_-
Rurouni Kenshin: Reflection (OAV) See Ruroni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin: The Motion Picture See Ruroni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal (OAV) See Ruroni Kenshin
S-CRY-ed (TV) Slightly above average Shonen action anime. Nothing truly special but nothing really bad either. The characters are a little unbelivable at times but it mostly fits. The ending was a giant WTF though. Do Kazuma and Ryuho just vanish into some magical dimension or something after punching each other enough? It doesn't make sense. Also, the mainland would eventually and very bloodily retake the Lost ground without someone there to prevent it, none of the native alters left at the end would've been strong enough to hold them off forever short of Kazuma and Ryuho.
Saber Marionette J (TV) Decent harem comedy, it has its flaws but it worked for me, the world of men concept was also interesting. I really did love the story at the end, once it all came into plain view, though I wished the last few episodes had been more tragic than they were, or that the girls really had died or been trapped on the station forever.
Saber Marionette J Again (OAV) I hated the new dub voices, they were just plain horrible, Otaru sounds like the Marrionettes castrated him when no one was looking. The story was pretty light hearted and childish but the animation was at least okay...
Saber Marionette J to X (TV) Ugh. where to begin. The animation is absolutely terrible, the voices are better than J again, but still not as good as the original VAs. The story is okay and actually interesting at times but it is so hard to get beyond the audio/visual hangups to enjoy it. It wasn't until the very end that it really finally started to grow on me and I was able to look beyond it. Story wise I enjoyed it, and I really liked that they finished up the story and explained what was up with Dr. Hess. That said I think the ending should've been much more tragic than it was, though I was moderately satisfied with it.
Saber Marionette R (OAV) ecchi nonsense, it's okay as long as you're not looking for anything serious.
Scrapped Princess (TV) I really think I liked this series. It was generally on good terms, the plot flows nicely and it tells a good sci-fi-world-gets-nuked-to-the-dark-ages story without getting too terribly ham-fisted. I do feel though that it was too short. The peacemakers and Mauser were only agents of the Aliens. As soon as they were gone you'd think that the Aliens would return to destroy earth. Yet it just cuts to a happy ending. I want there to be more, it feels like there's much more story yet left to tell.
Serial Experiments Lain (TV) Extremely over-rated. The voices were okay but the animation was really lacking and I can't even begin to bring up my problems with the actual story. I actually got what they meant and it just left more questions and plot holes than it answered. I think people like it so much just because it makes a good discussion topic trying to figure out what the creators were smoking when they made it.

Star Ocean EX (TV) an okay light-hearted fantasy action-comedy anime, but again, another non-ending. These things are an epidemic here.
Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie An okay action movie, saw it on the sci-fi channel a long time ago. Don't expect anything much from it and it's fine to watch.
Sword Art Online (TV)
Sword Art Online II (TV)
Tears to Tiara (TV)
Tenchi Muyo! (OAV 1/1992) My absolute favorite anime. Tenchi to me is a classic and even though it does have its flaws I still enjoy it more than any other anime. The characters go off the deep end at times but I found them far more beliavable than characters in most harem anime. The story was good and the characters really do grow over time, though I wish it was a longer OVA. I'll never forgive funimation for re-casting Ryoko's VA though (grrrr!)
Tenchi Muyo! GXP (TV) For a Tenchi spinoff I have to say this one did fairly well. I really couldn't expect too much as far as serious plot development since Tenchi series always focus on the extreme odd cases but I think Seina worked as a character. He seemed much more believable and relatable to than the almost Castrated Tenchi who never even hints at much beyond typical shonen "I must defend them!" actions. Plus at least Seina decided at the end...to Marry everyone...I don't know whether to be jealous or sorry for the guy, four women can definitely wear a guy out. :p

Tenchi the Movie - Tenchi Muyo in Love Good movie, I liked the plot and how they developed the characters a little more. Though considering this is based on the TV series I wished they'd explained properly what happened between the end of the show and the start of the film.
Tenchi The Movie 2 - The Daughter of Darkness Okay movie, a bit odd but good use of the characters and a nice story. I just wish they'd based it off of the OVAs directly instead of basing it off of one of the novels. No one who doesn't do the research will understand how things work. I also wish they had kept with the same VAs as the prior series.
Tenchi Universe (TV) Not as good as the OVA series, but not really bad either. It's more light hearted and less complicated, though I wish they'd have explained the whole Ryoko-Aeka conflict more directly without leaving us to figure it out for ourselves.
Tenjho Tenge (TV) Nice action/comedy anime, though a bit high on the fanservice at times. I think the whole Aya and Souichiro thing was a bit premature and forced though at the start. I liked very much though how humble and vulnerable they make the main characters. You can really see that they're human. My only major qualm was that again, non-ending. And the manga's censored over here so you can't really finish it that way either. I want to know what happens next ;_; I also wish they'd have toned down the fanservice.

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (TV) Absolutely stunning but short TV series about love, pain and the end of the world. I wished it'd have been fleshed out more with a full 26 episode series, but I was mostly satisfied. The ending was also suitably tragic. Great stuff.
Those Who Hunt Elves (TV) above average fantasy-comedy. I like this because the nudity feels more comedic and less fan-service-y. The story's off the wall but so are the characters and everything else so it all fits in well. My only major qualm was that they never really developed the story after the end of the first twelve episodes. They just go back to hunting fragments and we lose that chance to really develop the relationship between the characters. Missed opportunities abound.

Tokyo Babylon (OAV) Both OVAs were decent and had good voice acting. i just wish they'd actually told the story of the manga instead of these unrelated side-stories. Tokyo Babylon actually was a good manga and a good way to develop the character of Subaru Sumeragi prior to the events of X.

Tokyo Underground (TV) I have a very love hate relationship with Tokyo underground. It has a pretty good story, some nice comedy, and interesting characters, it has so much potential....which it squanders with rarely seen effectiveness. The violence is all sickeningly honeyed and bloodless, the fights often feel almost meaningless and at times the show borders on young children's "let's all be bestest friends now that I beat you!" style of anime. Ruri and Rumina's relationship also needed more development. They also leave some huge dangling plot issues. Who was Pyron and why was he in the underground. I can speculate and am pretty sure I know, but why did they just leave it as it was? IT could've been oh so much better.
Trigun (TV) Absolutely Amazing sci-fi/western action/comedy. Great characters, stellar voice acting. My only real issue, again, the ending. Come on here people, what is it with these? This is getting ridiculous.
Trinity Blood (TV) Trinity blood is an okay action anime. The story is intriguing, but it seems cliched at times, and they don't offer sufficient exposition in the anime to explain the full history or geo-political situation on the planet. I also dislike how father Abel at times tries to be like Vash the stampede with his "I will never kill anyone!" bit. Still, a good watch and some absolutely fantastic art.

Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer (movie 2) Saw this ages ago on the sci-fi channel. I never even knew what Urusei Yatsura was until much much later. I really liked the movie though, but I wish Ataru were less of a damn Lech. Why dream about mountains of women when you have a leopard printed alien right there to satisfy you? The man defies reason.
Utawarerumono (TV) Very good anime, nice characters, good animation, and an interestingly refreshing setting. I just wish that they'd continue it and explain more about how we got from Point A (earth today) to point B (Earth in the anime.) I liked the ending though, it felt right considering the story.

Valvrave the Liberator (TV 2)
Vampire Hunter D (OAV) another classic, nothing special by itself in today's world, but it was one of the trailblazers for anime at the time. It was also the first anime I saw many many many moons ago on cartoon network.
Vandread (TV) Good anime mostly, but a bit too fanservice heavy for my tastes. I also think the story left a few too many things to be explained. The ending also was just too cheesy and happy for my tastes, though there were some really touching and tragic moments throughout the series that brought a tear to my eye.
Vandread: The Second Stage (TV) See First Stage.
(The) Vision of Escaflowne (TV) Okay anime, nice story, characters are beliavable given the situation but the ending was confusing. Hitomi basically finds out that Van was her true love and then she Abandons him? This'd have made more sense if they played it up to tragic effect of "I can't live in your world and you can't live in mine." but it actually ends on a happy note. Which again leaves me with a big fat WTF remark on my face.
Witch Hunter Robin (TV) Above average action/drama anime. I liked the story and the whole science versus the church conflict was a really nice one to see play out. The ending was also grand too. They tied it up pretty neatly, though I still felt like I wanted more.
Wolf's Rain (TV) Stellar TV series, great VAs, great plot, amazingly tragic ending. My only real qualm was that they never really explained the world or the setting as much as I'd have liked. They just throw us into this cold dystopia and expect we somehow already know everything about nobles and the past and why they somehow have a space station abandoned up in orbit.

X (TV) Above averave action/drama but having read the manga first it felt too ham-fisted. All of the small changes they made to the story watered down the tragedy and the horrific shock the characters were in. They also removed the whole sub-plot of Kamui's friend at the clamp academy whose family keeps dying all around him because of the bitter feud between the dragons of heaven and earth. They also completely cut out the comedy, which made the manga so beautiful. It made the characters much more real because it showed how these poor souls faced with this sheer stress of seeing everyone around them keep dying so horrifically were trying to use jokes and off the wall antics to hide and shield themselves from the trauma and cling to what little sanity they had left. So much missed possibility...if only they'd stayed 100% true to the manga, and then just given it a nice and tragic conclusion (preferably one where it's revealed Fuuma is winning because he's the one actually backed by God.)
