Humor is a lot more racier than say, Inu Yasha but enjoyable if you don't mind the inevitable nudity... Every character has believable... well, probable if exaggerated motivations for what they do, even those who only show up for an episode or three. The wacky martial-arts-competitons-in-unexpected-places gets a little repetitive, more or less an excuse to get Ranma-shoujo into girly clothes. And then there is Psychodachi the Black Ho and her brother Kuno-the-twit... |

| Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996) | -Stalled out at the showdown with Shiskabob (Shishio) *whimper* I can't watch Ken-kun get hurt!- Everyone loves Kenshin, the teddy-bear bishounen with the skills of an ultimate assasin, a heart of gold and an oath to never kill again. Anyone who doesn't... has something seriously wrong with them. It segues from comical to serious and back with multidimensional characters who all have rationale for what they do and why, not just because they are 'good' or 'bad'. Kenshin also seems to be a magnet for all the fiesty, independent women of the Meiji Era challenging the heavily patriarchal and traditional culture. |
