Will not finish Comment
07-Ghost (TV) Watched to episode 9 because I thought I could get through it but it's just too bishounen for my tastes.
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero (TV) Too pervy.
Ah! My Goddess (TV) I got to episode 5 and gave up, somebody tell me if it was worth it to continue. It was so boring and the romance was so stupid. Hmm you fell in love with a goddess that you can never leave? There must be a story eventually, like a bad guy and action but I'm not going to wait for it.
Aquarion (TV) Not terrible and actually pretty watchable but it had a bunch of things that rubbed me the wrong way so I just thought I would end it short instead of punishing myself. This anime is strange because it tries to be openly deep by asking questions, giving lessons, and having a main story that is not really exposed and could potentially be profound (doubtful). However, it's gotta sell so it can't be against the mold...so they kept it's anime hijinx, weak one dimensional characters, awkward social interactions, odd fighting warm-up sequences, plot deception, and logic defying superpowers to great detriment. In one of the last episode I watched the mysteriously powerful boss was explaining to the fighters how you can tell everything about a person from their footprints (loldeep) and this of course was important in the fight they fought later on against a gravity canceling bad guy and used super gravity footsteps to cancel it out. Then there was another episode about conveying feelings/using psychic powers (I think...it didn't make much sense) and in perfect anime fashion the protagonist finally realizes how to "reach" with his inner infinite angel power which translated in battle to his robot arms stretching all the way from the earth to the moon. And...that's when I shut it off.
Astarotte's Toy (TV) Saw up to ep. 3. It. sounded like it was going to be shameless but it was so tame it was boring.
Asura Cryin' (TV) Not too bad but I'm going to drop it anyway at ep. 7. It just tries to do to much..ghosts, mecha, drama, evil syndicates, etc. and it fails to do any of them well such that its just a clusterf*ck of WTF. I don't understand why anime or Japanese entertainment in general loves to put things in a school situation even when it makes no sense and just makes the story stupid. Lets have two groups that fight each other using weird shadow mecha powered by ghosts...sounds weirdly entertaining right?...yeah now lets make it in a school...so one group is the student council made up of lawful evil knights and the other is some other student council made of surprisingly nice demons and then there the science club that works in between and meanwhile none of the ordinary students know whats really going on...nahh that just sounds stupid, if only...if only. But there are seriously tons of shows that seem to tack on a needless school element for some Japanese ideal that gets lost in translation.
Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts (TV) Too weird for me and whats with the guy that everyone treats like a woman?
Black Blood Brothers (TV) boring... seen to ep 4.
Black Butler (TV)
Black Cat (TV) seen up to ep 10
Bleach (TV) I watched 256 episodes of Bleach before it donned on me that this show is not actually good.
Blood Blockade Battlefront (TV) Watched to ep 3. Too out there for me.
Blood Lad (TV) Watched to ep 3. Was to foolish for me.
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan (TV)
Bokura ga Ita (TV) Actually pretty good and I watched to episode 10. it reminded me of a more realistic Lovely Complex (or rather LC ripped it off) drawn in the style of Kimi no Todoke (or probably made by the same studio). The story was very realistic and seemed like it could happen in real life and that's sorta what made it unbearable. Pretty much you start to like Nanami and you know that Yano is messed up and only going to end up hurting her. I didn't want to see that so I hedged my bets and drop it. If you can stomach a great girl getting her heart broken (probably) then this show isn't so bad.
Burst Angel (TV) Maybe I'm getting jaded since this is the third series that I'm dropping today. I only watched to episode 3 and I just found it to be boring it reminded me of Black lagoon with annoying girls, mecha (which I'm no big fan of), and a lot less grit.
Campione! (TV) Boring. I watched nearly all of it and then forgot to watch the end because I just did not care. His powers were so lame and used over and over. Also I didn't like how they shat all over classical mythology.
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV) I remember catching some of this when I was younger watching Saturday morning cartoons on the WB...I tried to watch some of it now lol...but I only got to the 10th episode before giving up... it was just too childish...which is a good thing I guess because thats their target audience children!...In general though, the cards are really cool but to me it doesn't seem like Sakura is using them to their full potential so I could pretty much guess what she was going to do and the battle was going to be over in 2 min. Furthermore, from what I saw the storyline seemed very linear (which can be a good thing...Bleach and your evil archs) which means shes getting a card (unless Li gets it) every episode and that's kinda boring but I didnt watch the whole season so maybe I missed out. Either way, it was kind of a neat idea for a show/manga.
Casshern Sins (TV) Not terrible but I found it boring and the robots were laughably stupid.
Ceres, Celestial Legend (TV) Saw up to ep 9. The synopsis made this sound really interesting but it turned out to be pretty generic and uninspired. Furthermore, I didn't feel anything for the characters so watching their love triangle was not appealing.
(Le) Chevalier D'Eon (TV) I tried to watch this series twice but each time I lost interest a couple episodes in. I don't know why I couldn't get through this series since it seems right up my alley, perhaps it was the poor pacing or the seemingly uninteresting bad guys. Either way I give up.
Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief (TV) Watched to ep 15. Not bad per se just boring.
Chivalry of a Failed Knight (TV) Watched to ep 2. Wasn't bad at first but then it became apparent that this was show wash just fan-service trash.
Chrono Crusade (TV) Watched to episode 5. This isn't really bad compared to other shows I've watched but I'm just not feeling it right now. Maybe my tastes have matured or it's just the fact that this show reeks of over the top exploits, underdeveloped characters and plot, and Saturday morning hijinks. I'm sure the story develops further but I'm just not that interested in it.
D.C. ~Da Capo~ (TV) Watched to episode 6. It seemed interesting but it turned out be really shallow also the addition of magic/oddities just made it weird. I pretty much wanted to drop it once they replaced that girl with a robot...then when a cat-girl showed up I knew it was over.
D.N.Angel (TV)
Danganronpa The Animation (TV) Dropped after ep 6. So many other anime have done the murder game genre better. Everything was just too coincidental and shallow there was no real mystery. Also the villain (bear) seemed to be crazy-evil which is the boringest kind of evil...
Devils and Realist (TV) Dropped after ep 8. Too bishounen with too much homosexual undertone for my taste. That aside though the story was going no where with just more and more characters being added without fleshing out any of the existing players.
Fairy Tail (TV)
(The) Fruit of Grisaia (TV) Watched to ep 4. Seemed interesting at first but dissolved into brain-dead fanservice.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (TV) I get that this is an arch based around the comedy of this series and takes a break from the actual story. However, I found the comedy in the first season to be retarded so a season based on it is the exact opposite of what I want. Luckily after this they went back to the story with "The Second Raid" and I'll probably check that out once I get the taste of this sh*t out of my mouth.
Gate Keepers (TV) Might be good, but I couldn't get past how stupid "the Invaders" were. You gotta have a good enemy or whats the point?
Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun (TV) No substance.
Green Green (TV) I don't mind a little fan-service to spice things up but Yosuke's friends are borderline rapists and rather than funny it is unnerving to watch their exploits.
Gunparade March (TV) Not bad but boring.
Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft (TV) Wasted potential.
Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East (TV) Not compete garbage but just wholly uninteresting.
Hatenkō Yūgi (TV) Saw only ep 1. But the story telling and pacing was so rushed and boring I was not interested in continuing.
Hayate the Combat Butler (TV)
Hell Girl (TV) I watched the first six episodes and then stopped. The idea was interesting but there should be more backstory so that it doesn't get repetitive. Maybe the story does develop in the next episodes but I gave up.
(The ")Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat. (TV) Watched to ep 8/12. It was actually sort of interesting at first but then it sort of became a parody of itself. Eventually, I just couldn't bare to watch anymore.
High School DxD (TV) Watched to episode 8. Fan service garbage.
Honey and Clover (TV)
Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere (TV) This show melted my brain.
Ichigo 100% (TV) Watched up to ep 6. It's been a while since I've moved this one from "Seen Some" to "Will not finish" so I'm not sure exactly why I didn't like it. As I recall it wasn't too bad but it couldn't keep my attention and I think the characters were annoying and the romance was lame.
Infinite Ryvius (TV)
Inu X Boku Secret Service (TV) Watched to ep 7. Boring and the character dynamics make no sense.
Kamichu! (TV)
Kamisama Kazoku (TV) seen worse but whatever, I'm not going to waste my time. watched to episode 3 and you can already tell what going to happen, the story is boring, and the characters are lame.
Karas (OAV) Watched to ep 2/6. Fight scenes were alright but not as amazing as the all the awards make them out to be. Story was incomprehensible.
Karin (TV) Watched up to ep. 3. I just didn't find it funny.
Kasimasi - Girl Meets Girl (TV) I watched to episode 6 but I shouldn't have since I could tell right away this wasn't for me. Reading the description it makes it seem like this is a story about a guy who gets anime hi-jinxed into a girl and he has to resolve that with his inner man who is as most man are attracted to girls thus a lesbian love triangle ensues. However, Hazumu isn’t much a man to begin with so there really wasn’t any need to change his gender. Additionally, he accepts his new feminine fate way too quickly and doesn’t even try to go against it in anyway like being a tomgirl. Literally, the day after he is turned into a girl he is going to school in the girl’s uniform and saying “well I’m a girl now, better act like one.” Basically, the transformation is so detached and the thoughts and effects that would go into it are not addressed. I feel by taking away Hazumu’s masculine identity he had become just a naive or inexperienced girl and not a man trapped in a woman’s body so the fact that he was once a boy does not matter one bit to the story. Instead the focus is on the romance and Hazumu’s prior existence as man really only serves to help them skate by the issue of lesbian relationships without having to discuss any real issues. Another example of this is Yasuna, one of the girls in the love triangle, is attracted to female Hazumu because she has a disease where she literally cannot see men. So Yasuna isn’t a lesbian because she prefers women for any of the reasons real-world lesbians do she just cannot see men so obviously she can’t have a relationship with people she can’t see. How much of a cop out is that? But I don’t get it, since this anime removes male perspective and identity, focuses heavily on dramatic romance, is not a comedy and doesn’t contain much fanservice I can only conclude this anime was made for women who like lesbians or are in fact lesbians themselves. Which is fine but this anime is also disingenuous to any real issues lesbians truly face that I can’t see them endorsing what this anime is about. So why was it made…and why did I have to see it…?
Kemonozume (TV) Might be good but I just couldn't stand the art style.
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de (TV) Watched up to ep 6. Found it boring. Whats with butler anime?
Kiznaiver (TV) Not a total waste but it couldn't hold my attention. I found the premise and the goofiness of the setting unappealing.
Koihime Musō (TV) Not for me.
Love, Election and Chocolate (TV)
Maburaho (TV)
Majestic Prince (TV) Watched to ep. 13. Boring and the characters were super annoying. I gave it a chance but I had to give up.
Maria Holic (TV)
(The) Melody of Oblivion (TV)
Momo: The Girl God of Death (TV) Watched up to ep 3. Found it boring. Reminded me of "letters to the departed" only devoid of anything that made that watchable.
My Bride is a Mermaid (TV)
My-Otome (TV) Nothing like Mia-HiMe. This is a show for girls written for guys (strange ones at that). Dropped after ep. 4.
NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them! (TV) Watched to episode 5. The premise is just to stupid for me.
Nanana's Buried Treasure (TV) Parts of this were interesting like how Nanana is a ghost and he is trying to solve her murder but the rest of it, the treasures and the challenges is garbage.
Naruto (TV) I tried watching this but I'm looking for more serious material.
Natsume's Book of Friends (TV) I don't really have anything against this anime I just started watching other stuff that I found more interesting. If I have the time maybe I will finish it.
Negima!? (TV) Not bad, but I don't know if I could watch it all. I made it through a few episodes but the premise just seems idiotic and I'm not really into "magical girl" anime.
Neuro - Supernatural Detective (TV) Dropped after second episode. It had an interesting idea with the whole demon solving mysteries thing but the mysteries were not mysterious at all and the Neuro's "demon tools" were so lame.
Oreshura (TV) Watched to ep 5. It's all been done before. Boring.
Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God (TV) Too Saturday morning cartoony for me.
Planetes (TV) the premise seemed interesting and it is a highly recommended so I guess I over estimated this series. Personally I just hated the characters and the goofy atmosphere.
Princess Resurrection (TV)
(The) Qwaser of Stigmata (TV)
Real Drive (TV) I watched to episode 7 before giving up. Its not bad, it has interesting characters and probably a good story but I just didn't get it and the whole metal and diving thing just seemed stupid.
Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage (TV) Got about halfway through until I lost interest.
Rune Soldier (TV) I watched to episode 9 waiting for any shred of a story to come around and it never did. I'm okay with some filler but if you get to 9 out of 24 episodes and nothing has started it really makes you wonder if they put any importance on story and if they don't it probably isn't going to be a meaningful or intelligent tale. Furthermore, every single character in this anime was annoying and not likable at all.
S.A (TV)
School Rumble (TV) Watched to episode 7. I kinda liked it at first and found it humorous but then it started to wear on me. Also, I like my romances to have meaning and progress and it didn't seem like that was ever going happen.
Shina Dark - Kuroki Tsuki no Ō to Sōheki no Tsuki no Himegimi (OAV) I am unfairly not going to finish these since they are just music videos bundles with the manga, which I don't read. But if the day comes when they make an anime of this I will definitely check it out since the story sounds interesting and I hear the manga is is good.
Shonen Onmyouji (TV) Watched some and then it sat in my "seen some" list till I decided I don't care to finish it. I found it boring and childish.
Soul Eater (TV)
Tenshi na Konamaiki (TV)
Tiger & Bunny (TV) Watched to ep 13. I know this anime is beloved by everyone but I found it pretty boring and I just couldn't like any of the characters.
Tokko (TV) Watched over half and I was just bored with it.
Tona-Gura! (TV)
Trigun (TV)
Trinity Blood (TV) I have watched worse stuff but this just bored me.
Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE (TV) Too generic and starts like a bad video game (I think its based on one too...). Also, if I didn't finish "Cardcaptor Sakura" and I didn't like "XXXHOLiC" then I probably wasn't going to like this.
Tweeny Witches (TV)
Vampire Princess Miyu (TV) Not too bad but from what I saw it seemed like every episode was going to be stand alone Miyu just confronting another vampire/creature and that gets boring and repetitive.
Witch Craft Works (TV) Watched to ep 7. I don't like shows were the world is irrational. I know its supposed to be funny but I just find it stupid.
Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil (TV) Watched to ep 2. The first trial made no sense therefore I can only assume the rest of the law side of the story will be ridiculous.
(The) World Is Still Beautiful (TV) Watched to ep. 7. Way too artificially sweet.
Zettai Shonen (TV) A real let down. I watched the first arch (ep 1-13) but the story was so boring that I wanted to give up on it so many times but there were to many unsolved mysteries that I wanted to know the answer to so I kept watching. However the first arch ended with nothing answered and I decided I had had enough. Also Aizawa was such a moody emo character.
