Bleach (TV) Masterpiece One of my very favorite shows! I always enjoyed watching it, but once I got to episode 16 I fell completely and hopelessly in love with the show ^_^ I love every single one of the characters; they are strong and true to themselves, and you rarely see characters that are defined as simply "good" or "evil". The music is good and the samurai sword action is truely badass. This is a show that I claw my eyes out while waiting for the next episode to come out. Definitely watch it!!!
Blood: The Last Vampire (movie) Excellent Although short, I really liked it. I'm partial to swords and blood, and thus this movie was a nice combination of the two. It's a good Halloween movie, and a good prequel for Blood+.
Cowboy Bebop (TV) Masterpiece This show is very near and dear to my heart. I watched it over the course of several weeks and didn't realized how much I loved it until it was over. I cried through the last three episodes. The characters are realistic and likeable, the music is great, and there is a healthy balance between drama and comedy. A must see.
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie Excellent I saw this before I watched the series. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it to the extent that it is on my to-buy list.
Crystal Triangle (OAV) Bad I learned three things from this movie: 1. Japan is the holy land 2. Secret spaceships are buried underground for the heck of it 3. God is a green, levitating larvae
D.C. ~Da Capo~ (TV) Worst ever This is one of the worst shows I've ever seen. I downloaded it because it got a lot of good reviews, and after watching each episode I thought, "It has to get better than this." So I'd watch another. And another. Don't make the mistake I did. This series is horrible. It has everything I hate about anime--harems, incest, fanservice, let's-go-to-the-hot-springs episodes, etc. And there is no plot whatsoever. The most pointless show ever.
D.N.Angel (TV) Bad Seriously, this show got WAAAAAY too much hype, especially considering how bad it was. No, it was not deep, and no, Dark is not the sexiest thing I have ever seen. Go away.
Escaflowne: The Movie Decent I watched it with a group of friends and had enjoyed making fun of the girl. My favorite part was when Prince Van tells her about his tragic past (his brother went psychopathic and murdered his entire family) and the girl says something along the lines of "I understand, because I quit the track team." XD Priceless.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (movie) Masterpiece One word: KADAJ.
Full Metal Panic! (TV) Decent This used to be my favorite show EVER. Then I saw The Second Raid and haven't been able to watch this show ever since. In any case, it's a fun, fluffy series to watch, preferrably with a group of friends. The mecha is unoriginal and Gonzo left gaping plotholes left and right, but it's still worth watching if you have the time. Sousuke is just hilarious to watch.
Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid (TV) Excellent The sequel to Full Metal Panic!, TSR is what season one should have been. It's only 13 episodes, but you get a lot of insight on Sousuke's character, as well as better animation, better fights, better character development, better music, and basically better everything.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (TV) Very good Basically a collection of random animated shorts from the manga. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. If anything, check out the Hot Springs episode. ^_^
Naruto (TV) Good Pretty good, disregarding the fillers. I like the characters and the plot is fun, although often the plot and fights kind of drag on. (The Find Tsunade arc could've been condensed into four episodes. Stuff like that.) It's fun to watch, but it's not really a show I would watch again. I don't really like the random dorky stuff (like Konohamaru), but watch it just for the heck of it.
Peacemaker (TV) Very good Not my favorite, but a fun show to watch. The main character is annoying as hell, but there's a large cast of other (and better) characters to distract you. While there isn't fighting every episode, the fights are pretty cool and there's some blood. There are also some major plotholes and things they just never explain (Souji's past, anyone?) and a really random arc with a magician (huh?) but it's a show worth watching once. I wouldn't see it again, though.
Rock Musical Bleach (musical special) Excellent Cheesy acting, paper mache swordfights, and shinigami breaking out into song at awkward moments--I was laughing my ass off the entire time. If you enjoy B-movies, WATCH THIS. Plus, it features Tuti as Ichimaru Gin. Yes, you heard me right--TUTI.
Rumbling Hearts (TV) Very good Romance shows really aren't my thing, but I did enjoy this one for what it was. The animation was beautiful and the music went along perfectly. The scenerio, although a bit predictable, was interesting enough, although I really hated the Haruka girl (I have a tendency to dislike girls designed to make you scream "KAWAII!"). It was pretty good from episodes 3-12, but the beginning was cliche and the ending pretty bad, in my opinion (everybody lives happily ever after). I would've prefered a more tragic ending.
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal (OAV) Masterpiece Another one of my favorites. I've seen three or four random episodes of the Kenshin series and wasn't particularly interested, but I adore this movie. It has everything: plot, solid characters, sweet romance, bloody sword action, beautiful music, and a depressing ending. Definitely watch this.
Samurai Champloo (TV) Excellent My third favorite anime ever. I just loved Mugen (the man with no limits), Jin (the polar opposite of Mugen), and even Fuu (the token girl). Similar to Bebop in feel, mainly comprised of episodic shorts that give insight on the characters and a slice-of-life aura. Perfect balance of drama and comedy, and the action scenes are some of the best I've ever seen.
She and Her Cat (OAV) Masterpiece I got a lot more satisfaction out of this five minute clip that I got out of most full-length series. There should be more shorts like this.
Trigun (TV) Excellent Heh, who doesn't love Trigun? Although not as good as the manga, it's fun to watch when you need some laughs and light action. On a side note, Trigun has the best dub I've ever heard (I generally hate dubs).
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (movie) Very good Plotholes abound in this movie, but I like it anyway.
Virtua Fighter (TV) Excellent Cheesy? Hilarious? Agonizing? This show is all of the above, one of those shows that's so bad that it's good. Watching it makes me feel nauseated and entertained at the same time. The dub is especially funny because of all the random lines. It's like the VAs picked some random anime off the shelf and are making fun of the content. I find this funnier than most 'comedy' anime.
Zaion: I Wish You Were Here (ONA) Weak The only part I really liked about this was the relationship between Yujji and Ai. The military armor made the characters look like Power Rangers, the blood was nonexistant, and there was an abundantly bad use of CGI. The worst part was Ai's "power" that looked like a giant paper doll. The previews made this show look promising, when really it was a waste of time.
