With that said about Dragon Ball, despite how ridiculous, over-long and over-the-top this show can get... it's one of the greatest guilty pleasure shows I've ever watched. It's unintentionally hilarious, often I might add, but there are some interesting plots that unfold during the show and I don't think anyone can deny that the show has some great moments in it. Unless you don't care at all about the characters or Dragon Ball in general. |

It's really hard to define this show, every emotion a person can have this show inspires. I was more interested in the characters and conversations than the moments of action. There are some truly unsettling moments, and times it makes you question your existence and the decisions you make. I dug the ending, but it left me wanting much, much more. I guess that's why there's a movie! |

Doesn't reinvent the wheel, but who cares? The characters (while too familiar), are still interesting enough to watch, the humor usually works, the animation is great, and the story is involving. Also, despite the retarded theme... its hop-hop inspiration works very well. |

I'm almost hesitant to call it a masterpiece, but I honestly can't think of a more addicting anime than this one. All of the characters are distinctive, the show is often funny, and the fights are pretty awesome. Each saga brings something new the table, and you don't feel like you're watching the same thing over and over again. I love this show. |
