Ai Yori Aoshi (TV) Not really good Was just passing. I mean JUST passing.
Bastard!! (OAV) Decent It's all right. I haven't seen it in the long time. Terrible animation but it's funny and Dark is cool.
Berserk (TV 1997) Excellent You want an amazing anime? Try out Berserk. Don't let the first episode or two throw you off, you'll completely understand them after you see the whole series. It's a great great series! I'm not really into to blood and guts but Gutts (no pun intended) is the kind of hero I would go through this story for. Once you start the series you just can't wait to see what happens. My only problem with it was the ending but you'll understand what I mean when you see it for yourself.
Bible Black (OAV) Decent Disburbing.
Black Cat (TV) Good I like it but I just felt like the anime ended 4 episodes before it actually ended.
Blood: The Last Vampire (movie) Decent It was okay.
Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 (TV) Very good I liked this one a lot. At first it seems to have little substance but the story really takes off and instead of focusing on one character, you really get to see much of all of them.
Chimera - Angel of Death (OAV) So-so Ummm....interesting. All I remember is the "rape" scene.
Chrono Crusade (TV) Worst ever I hate this series. It is terrible, definitely down in the pits for me. Took me 7 DVDs to figure it out though. By the 5th DVD I was like "why am I WATCHING this?"
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie So-so Don't remember much of it, all I know is by the end I was ready for it to end.
Death Note (live-action movie) Weak It was pretty bad. I did not like it. Light looked nothing like his actor, they were all over the place with the story...I mean, the best parts were L and Ryuk (Ryuk looked amazing!).
Descendants of Darkness (TV) Very good
Devil Hunter Yohko (OAV) Decent This was pretty cute but not cute enough to keep.
Dragon Ball GT (TV) Good I liked a lot of it, but Z definitely tops it.
Dragon Ball Movie 4: The Path to Power Very good This was pretty funny and I enjoyed seeing the characters when they were younger.
Dragon Ball Z (TV) Masterpiece One of the greatest series EVER. Great fighting, characters, I just hate that the dub had to be made for children.
Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku (special) Very good
Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly (movie 11) Decent
Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound (movie 9) Good
Dragon Ball Z: Broly - Second Coming (movie 10) Decent
Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan (movie 8) Good
Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge (movie 5) Very good
Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone (movie 1) Good
Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn (movie 12) Good
Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug (movie 4) Good
Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13! (movie 7) Good
Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks (special) Excellent
Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler (movie 6) Very good
Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might (movie 3) Good
Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest (movie 2) Good
Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon (movie 13) Good
E's Otherwise (TV) Not really good This series went from pretty okay, to kinda okay, to just okay.
Elfen Lied (TV) Weak
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (movie) Excellent Great movie. I loved seeing all of the characters again
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (US CG movie) Good From what I remember, I was pissed by the end of it.
Final Fantasy: Unlimited (TV) Good It got really good at the end DVDs. Until then it was just okay but I enjoyed seeing the summons.
Fruits Basket (TV 1/2001) Masterpiece Really excellent anime. This was my favorite anime until Saiyuki came out (after DBZ of course but I put that on a whole other level). Great characters, plot, storyline, WAY better than that dumbass manga...ugh...I'm glad they went another route with the story!
Full Metal Panic! (TV) Good From what I saw of it (I have to get it!!), it's funny, got a good story going on, very driven, attractive, intriguing characters, and it's got some great sequels to it.
Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid (TV) Good It was definitely the end of something but I wasn't sure it was the end of the series. I liked it, even though I'm not really into the mecha thing but what I like about Full Metal Panic is it's not really about the mecha at all, it was just a part of the plot for this one. But really they are just weapons, not something to obsess over the whole anime. And this was still funny.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (TV) Excellent This is the 2nd anime that was intended to flat-out make you laugh and nothing else and actually DID make me laugh. This is super super funny and I promise anyone who skips out on it is really missing out. Scared of gundams and mecha? They don't even make an appearance! Nothing but Sousuke Sagara's crazy antics...and trust me, him and Kaname MAKE this series :P I mean, I guess they ARE the main characters!
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) Very good You want to see a deep, dramatic, supernatural, super-impressive anime? This is the one for you. Forget all the hype, because Pokemon shows that anything can become a mega-hit. Watch the anime. Right from the beginning you get a feel of the character's past, what their goals are, some great action, a cute girl, religious elements, and a crazy bad-guy! ALL in just the first episode! This was an anime that I did not feel was too long at being 80+ episodes. I have not seen them all but each episode has something important going on (no filler episodes, thank God!) and that's a great achievement. The author is a genius.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie - Conqueror of Shamballa Excellent This movie brings a great anime to an excellent ending. I won't say much more, but you definitely want to see or at least know some of the main events of the anime before diving into this one. In fact, unless you've seen some of the episodes and have really gotten to know these characters, you will be missing out on a great experience.
Gakuen Heaven (TV) Decent
Getbackers (TV) Masterpiece Though Gungrave has surpassed it on my list, it is still a very close second. This anime has a great plot, characters, beautiful artwork, and is definitely something anyone can enjoy. Not to mention you even get a little schooling with real-life facts about things such as history and chemicals. Once you start watching Get Backers, you can't stop and never want it to end. Once you get past the first few episodes and really delve deep into the series, you will know what I mean when I say this anime is a must have in your collection.
Ghost in the Shell (movie) Good
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (movie) Awful Terrible movie. I mean...it was awful, really. Especially in a movie theatre at 11:00 at night. It was in JAPANESE WITH SUBTITLES (why even bring it to the big screen?), the voices were boring, the action was boring, then it got downright creepy which then I was scared and bored at the same time! Terrible.
Golden Boy (OAV) Very good Funny, funny, funny! Okay, Goldenboy was the first anime that was intended for pure laughs and made me do just that, through the WHOLE thing. It was disgusting and brilliant. Do NOT miss out on this anime, whether you're a guy, girl, love mecha, shoujo, yaoi, whatever --- this is an anime for everyone! Perhaps not every age though...
Gravitation (TV) Weak Ehh...I don't regret looking at Yuki and Hiro...and the American...but that's about it. It was all right in Japanese, but I hated the English dub and I'm a HUGE English fan (particularly because I speak it).
GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka (TV) Decent It was okay. It was okay. Certainly enough for me to buy the series and keep watching it but it's not for everyone, I can say that. There was a point where I was like "WTF?" but I don't regret watching it at all.
Gungrave (TV) Masterpiece No doubt the greatest anime I've seen and one of the best in it's time. It's legendary, dramatic, tragic, beautiful, and certainly a one of a kind experience I've yet to get from any other anime. However, I don't think it is for everyone. I think writers will appreciate this anime the most, just because a writer can see what genius it took to put that anime together. At the same time, that certainly doesn't mean the average anime fan can't appreciate it just as much but I think you understand more if you have a writer's mind, which is much different in my opinion to a reader's mind. That's sort of unrelated :P
Haibane Renmei (TV) Good I don't care what anyone says, this was something worth watching. Not the best series but it's only 13 episodes and had a very interesting, thought-provoking plot.
Heat Guy J (TV) Very good I love this series. It's not the greatest anime ever but it was interesting and cute, had some sad elements, and I liked the cast a lot. Just in case you're wondering, and what I was surprised to find out is that J is not really the main character at all. The anime is definitely about Claire but J does play a role and he is significant.
Hellsing (TV) Excellent Great series, and I'm not just saying that to "fit in" or anything. It was really good and definitely deserved to be much longer than it was. The animation was great, excellent characters, could have been a much longer and better storyline (but the storyline was still good).
Howl's Moving Castle (movie) Masterpiece I LOVE this movie. It's my favorite anime movie by far (not counting Advent Children). I think it's Miyazaki's best. I'm not usually THAT much of a fan of him and I do think his works are good but this one is the best, by far, for me.
Jing: King of Bandits (TV) Good
Karas (OAV) Good I like it a lot. Made very well. Not too much else to say though.
Kino's Journey (TV) Masterpiece There is something so beautiful about this anime's simplicity. Again, perhaps it's the writer in me^^; but I love it. Unlike animes that try to make a character who's neither good or bad and all it ends up doing is showing how cruel this non-feeling man or woman can be (of course, because they can't feel *rolls eyes*), you really get to see a non-partial, partial view of the world. Kino is not evil and she does care, but she is not willing to get involved into the affairs of other people (at least when she gets into towns) unless asked or she feels herself in danger. She respects that these towns, which are really little worlds, were there before she came and don't need her to change them. I can't explain it, just watch it. There are such great, thought-provoking stories being told in that series. Kino's personality is not cold and yet you still feel the need to fill in the emotions as the story goes on just like with a character who's non-feeling. If that doesn't make sense, I'm sorry :P
Kino's Travels: Life Goes On (movie) Very good
Last Exile (TV) Excellent Last Exile is one of my old loves. This series took something (planes) that I had no interest in and actually made me care about it. Not to mention the characters, love the characters. If I can't connect with characters than there's no anime there for me.
Last Order Final Fantasy VII (OAV) Good This was pretty good. I wish it'd been longer, it was more like an episode of a series than anything. The animation was good. My only problem was umm...Sephiroth jumped off the side? Not what I remember from the game. In fact, he was in two pieces from Cloud. Not to mention when cloud drove that sword into him, he should've been dead anyway :P but whatever, I'll forgive Square this time.
Legend of Crystania: The Chaos Ring (OAV) Decent This was okay. I was a little traumatized by one part but other than that, it wasn't too bad.
Lovely Complex (TV) Very good
Mahoromatic - Automatic Maiden (TV) Good This was really funny. I don't know why I got rid of this...oh, well I only had the first disc. I'm gonna get the perfect collection and see the rest of this, definitely.
Mushi-Shi (TV) Masterpiece This is in the same realm as Kino's Journey.
Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (TV)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) Good This is a classic and I give it it's props. It was good, I did enjoy watching it to some extent. But I think RahXephon is way better.
Nightwalker: The Midnight Detective (TV) Very good Excellent opening song. Buck-Tick knows sexy! The anime was pretty good, I like vampires and all that. I hated the "ending", if you could even call it one but it was still a good series, not a waste of cash.
Orphen (TV) Very good Great series. I love Orphen, I really enjoyed watching this one.
Ouran High School Host Club (TV) Masterpiece I LOVE THIS ANIME!!! Host Club is the only anime I've been able to watch in Japanese and not even realize I can't understand what they're saying (you know, except for having the subtitles)!!! It's such a great series, I don't even know where to start. This, to me, if Fruits Basket's second-coming. It's definitely not to the level of Fruits Basket in being really dramatic, tragic, AND funny all at the same time and very well balanced but it's coming in second for me because the characters all have their own struggles and yet when they come together it's just an experience you can't forget.
Peacemaker (TV) Good
Please Teacher! (TV) So-so
Prétear (TV) Good This was cute. And could be depressing at some parts. The series could have been longer. I was surprised the maker of Sailor Moon didn't make it longer. Then again, it was Sailor Moon with a different name really...but I was able to get into this one unlike Sailor Moon, which I find not-so entertaining.
Princess Mononoke (movie) Good
Princess Princess (TV) Decent I have to say I like the manga better than the anime just because I feel there were 2 or 3 filler episodes in an anime that was only 12 episodes to begin with! But other than that, I enjoyed the series. Thought it was a little gay to not have actually had any characters hook up so I was disappointed in that aspect as well.
RahXephon (TV) Excellent
Record of Lodoss War (OAV) Good
Rune Soldier (TV) Good
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal (OAV) So-so I thought it was cool to find out how he got that scar on this face. If this is even the movie. Thing about the movie is I only remember that he was sexy and how he got that scar. It was sad, drawn beautifully, and I really like Kenshin much better in this movie than the series (though I still liked him!)
S-CRY-ed (TV) Excellent
Saiyuki (TV) Excellent I would have to have MUCH more time to comment on this one so I'll wait.
Saiyuki: Requiem (movie) Very good Good movie. I love Saiyuki and did added to my love of it.
Samurai Champloo (TV) Excellent
Samurai Deeper Kyo (TV) Very good
Someday's Dreamers (TV) Good
Speed Grapher (TV) Excellent
Spiral (TV) Good
Spirited Away (movie) Good The second or third movie I've liked of anime. I think the reason Miyazaki does so well is because he doesn't make an anime and then try to stuff it into a movie. This movie, for instance, would have only worked as a movie to me. It would have otherwise been drawn-out with her doing work and such until she could finally free her parents. Howl's Moving Castle, however, could have been a series. So the point is I was satisfied with this movie and felt it was just right.
Strawberry Eggs (TV) Decent I would have given this anime a "good" had it not been for two reasons: 1) A grown man was and a teenager that looked 2 years old were having sexual tension 2) She totally broke that cute boy's heart. They still have the potential to get together and I hope they do in their little anime future but that anime just got ridiculous to me. Ridiculous.
Tenjho Tenge (TV) Very good
Trinity Blood (TV) Very good It was as good as I expected it to be but it's really good anyway. I wish it wouldn't have been so quiet (if that makes sense). There's loud action and quiet action and this was just a quite anime to a point and I just thought it'd have a lot more energy.
Witch Hunter Robin (TV) Good
Wolf's Rain (TV) Masterpiece
Wolf's Rain (OAV) Good
