m00nshine's Anime

My Top 10 Rating Comment
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad (TV) Masterpiece (dub & sub) Number 10, Probably the best anime that involves music/band/music industry. Great combination of comedy and drama. The story starts slow but really drags you in.
Berserk (TV 1997) Excellent Number 8, Gutts is probably my favorite lead character, he doesn't take crap and he always delivers the pain. I also enjoyed how mature the storyline was and how it didn't hold back any punches.
Death Note (TV) Masterpiece Number 2, This series was a marvelous display of story telling and suspense that really touched on some hardcore philosophical issues. It had me in suspense wanting to know what would happen almost every week. Out of 37 episodes only about three were ok and the rest were purely amazing. A must see for anyone who watches anime.
Dragon Ball Z (TV) Masterpiece Number 4. This is the anime that started my craze and love for anime. This selection also includes the Dragonball series which lacked some of the dbz action but had good comedy.
Elfen Lied (TV) Masterpiece Number 1 This anime is by far the one anime that best combines the right amounts of action, comedy, rommance, and drama. I loved how dark the storyline was and how nothing was out of bounds. This anime dared to stretch the boundaries and pulled it off beautifully. With a gripping story and "spot on" soundtrack this anime takes the prize of being number one by a longshot.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (TV) Masterpiece Number 5 This selection also includes the other seasons of FMP. I chose this one for my top ten list because it is easily the most enjoyable of the seasons and you really get an oppertunity to learn more about the characters and some of their relations with each other.
Ghost in the Shell (movie) Masterpiece Number 7, Just an absolute classic in the world of anime. You can not call yourself an anime fan without watching this movie. Great art style with a story that will retain meaning for years to come.
Ninja Scroll (movie) Masterpiece Number 6, Simply the best stand alone anime movie i've ever seen. Jubei is a character you have to like and the action is top notch with just the right amount of comedy in-between.
One Punch Man (TV) Excellent Number 9. The way this series deconstructs the superhero/shonen series was such a breath of fresh air. The humor was on point, the animation reach god tier, and the action/fight scenes were pure hype and entertainment. The only down side to this series is that the world and side character don't get fleshed out so well. That minor complaint aside this anime needs to be on everyone's must see list.
School Rumble (TV) Excellent (dub), Masterpiece (sub) Number 3. By far the funniest anime to ever come out of Japan. I can go on and on about individual scenes but i will save my hands the trouble of endless typing. Only thing keeping this out of number one is the pure perfection of Elfen Lied. Note, this includes all seasons/oavs of school rumble
