It looks like I've triggered an algorithm that has identified me as someone who consistently tries to manipulate the percentages either up or down. Oh, well.....

I try to add enlightening commentary, but let's face it:
I'm far from perfect.

  2. Mother's Basement | Geoff Thew

Seen/Read All (public list) Rating
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal (OAV) Very good
(The) Sacred Blacksmith (TV) Very good (dub & sub)
Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (TV) Very good
  • It takes a certain mindset to enjoy a harem series..... Naturally, there's also fan service.
  • Ep.#11 has a rather rather strange discontinuity in the graphics.
  • Ep.#8 at the 20 min. mark employs some clever symbolism with the traffic signal that recalls the ending of Hemmingway's The Sun Also Rises:
Just as Brett voices, one last time, the dream that the two of them could have had a relationship, a policeman raises his baton and symbolically signals a halt. The car’s sudden deceleration presses Brett tantalizingly close to Jake, echoing a number of similar scenes earlier in the novel, but the barrier between them is quite clear now.
  • Some of the humor is actually funny.
Saga of Tanya the Evil (TV) Very good (dub & sub)

Who's worse? A psychopath, or the Old Testament God?
I would have rated it higher, but the way it ends makes it nothing more than an extended commercial for the light novels.

Saga of Tanya the Evil (movie) Excellent
Another instalment of the series that makes you care about the characters.
SaiKano: Another Love Song (OAV) Excellent (dub & sub)
A different perspective of the tragedy that is Saikano.....
Saki (TV) Very good
Pro: I laughed at some of the humor.
Con: There were some fantasy elements that just didn't work. I must confess that I found the fan service to be a bit embarrassing.
Saki - The Nationals (TV) Good
There are mystical/fantasy elements that I didn't care for.
Saki Biyori (OAV) Decent
The graphics are sub-par and it's a slice-of-life.
Sakura Trick (TV) Excellent
DarthGlorik (YouTube) review
Sakura Wars: The Movie Decent (dub & sub)
Samurai Champloo (TV) Excellent
Sands of Destruction (TV) Very good (dub), Excellent (sub)
Nice OP & ED.
Say "I love you." (TV) Very good
School-Live! (TV) Excellent
