| Hikaru no Go (manga) | Very good | A very addicting read, and somehow makes Go really exciting and interesting. If you love competition/shounen type stories then this one is a must read. Felt a little unfulfilled with the ending though. |
| Hot Gimmick (manga) | Very good | I'm pretty much a sucker for romance and melodrama, which is why I enjoyed this series so much. It can feel a little juvenile at times with the dialogue, but the content deals with some pretty harsh stuff sometimes (like rape, infidelity, etc.) , so I don't think it would be appropriate for younger teenagers. But it is still pretty good if you like manga dripping with shoujo angst but still has its lighthearted moments. |
| Kare Kano (manga) | Very good | I loved this anime and wanted to read the manga to get the rest of the story. I really liked it a lot and would have rated it maybe one higher, but I felt the last few volumes went a little heavy on the drama and not enough romance between Arima and Miyazawa or comedy as I would have liked. But still very good if you like shoujo manga. |
