Anime Spotlight - Pastel Memories

by ANN Staff,
Premieres at 12:30 AM of January 8, 2019 (JST)

Introduction

We want to get back the memories of our beloved art.

Our mission is to eradicate viruses that seek to destroy the worlds of art! We'll do our best to protect our world!

The land once known for its otaku culture—Akihabara—has become a business district filled with offices, and those who visit have forgotten anime and manga. The nerdy shops have been closing one by one.

Memories within the hearts of people are what are supporting the worlds of art. However, once those worlds are destroyed by viruses, the memories of those works of art disappear from the very people who loved them. We fight to protect the art everyone loves!

This is the story of twelve girls who work at a little store in the corner of Akihabara called "The Rabbit Hut Headquarters." We're trying our hardest to defeat the viruses and bring Akihabara back to its former fun glory!

Character Names & Descriptions

Izumi Asagi

Voice: Hiyori Nitta

An energetic and positive high school girl who is childhood friends with the manager of The Rabbit Hut Headquarters and a self-proclaimed "otaku-in-training." She's inquisitive about anything and everything, and is able to be friends with just about anybody.

Ayaka Sakaki

Voice: Mariko Toribe

She's very smart and full of knowledge, but a bit shy. She's a first-rate cosplayer, and really likes mushrooms for some reason.

Irina Leskova

Voice: Yumi Uchiyama

A girl from Russia who can speak fluent Japanese. She's very strict and stubborn, and likes Japan and military paraphernalia.

Kaoruko Nijouin

Voice: Yukiyo Fujii

The daughter of a rich family who is skilled in her studies, as well as martial arts and the fine arts. She is somewhat of an elitist anime fan, but is very kind to her friends.

Yuina Machiya

Voice: Rie Murakawa

A free-as-a-bird girl who isn't afraid to show her emotions. However, she's very cat-like and loves to play pranks. She has strong opinions about maid costumes, and can get along with just about anyway right away.

Michi Edogawabashi

Voice: Naomi Ōzora

A doll-loving girl with a mysterious air to her. No one knows what she's going to do next due to the lack of emotion she shows on her face.

Minami Senju

Voice: Ai Yamamoto

A kind, raising-simulation game-loving girl who gives off an air of household warmth. She's very gentle and very seldomly gets angry, and serves as the girls' mother-like figure.

Chimari Maiko

Voice: Yui Ogura

A history-loving, serious girl who always speaks to everyone in the most polite manner. She's fairly cowardly, however, and will faint when her levels of fear surpass a certain point.

Nao Mejiro

Voice: Yumiri Hanamori

A shonen manga-loving girl who is hot-blooded and ready to stand up to face any challenge. She's extremely athletic and passionate, but doesn't have much on her side in terms of defense.

Rei Kurushima

Voice: Yurika Kubo

A strong and cool girl who is often fairly stand-offish. She loves plastic models. Rei often hides what she's truly thinking, and can get quite embarrassed at times.

Komachi Satonaka

Voice: Megumi Toda

Komachi's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but always brings laughter and smiles to the room. She loves cameras, and has a habit of taking pictures no matter where she is. She is very physically strong.

Saori Rokugou

Voice: Kotori Koiwai

A spaced-out, positive-thinking girl. She's actually a young, genius inventor, and is able to make futuristic items surpassing humanity's current knowledge one after the other.

Nejire Usagi

Voice: Chitose Morinaga

The mascot stuffed animal of The Rabbit Hut Headquarters who gained a will of its own. Its nickname is Nejiusa, and it connects the girls to the world of art from the store while supporting them along the way. A very joyful animal, its special technique is "act like a stuffed animal" (but this often doesn't work).

Maya

Voice: Chiaki Takahashi

The commander of the mysterious organization, the "Black Fleet." This enigmatic woman appears in front of Izumi and her friends. She hates things that aren't logical.
