I guess I'm a bit surprised that this is getting a second season. It seemed to be panned pretty hard, although maybe that's just around here. Apparently it must have been popular enough in Japan. I didn't mind it, and I'm fine with some more Entrails Animals running around again, not to mention it kinda ended without resolving anything, so a second season can't hurt.

It sold quite decently in Japan.
I don't know what they thought of Kampfer, but poor reception doesn't always translate to poor sales (although it usually does). For instance, the To LOVE-Ru anime did well despite being panned. Ditto for Mayoi Neko Overrun to some extent. |

The jacket band's text is circumspect about not using the words "season" or "series." It also lists "March" instead of "April," the usual month in which anime seasons and series usually start in the spring. |

Either way i still don't get why they would have done anything at all.
I'm very open minded when it comes to all forms and genres of anime, yet i could not help but /facepalm and /facedesk by episode 3. As much as i hate to criticize a series i have yet to finish, even being moe just wont be enough for me to at least finish it. |

I hope this is a season as opposed to just a special or something. I liked the first season; it's a harem show with a twist: instead of being about a bunch of hot chicks lusting after a bland male lead, it's about a bunch of hot chicks lusting after a bland male lead who is sometimes a hot chick himself. Hey, in Harem Land that qualifies as dazzling innovation. Oh, and can't forget the talking seppuku animal toys, of course...

Kampfer is returning for another season? Seems like it did very very well, thats good to know as the Japanese say " Kodemo wa yoroshii onegaishimasu". I look foward to it.

well maybe since they are not saying much about it, maybe they are rebooting the show, with a re-write, and then making a 25 episode series, but making it all new, so we can forget about the original first season.
I liked the concept of the show, but it wasn't executed properly IMO |

If anyone can read Japanese maybe they can make more sense out of there cryptic hints than I can with my Google-translated half-garble >< |
