OK unless my math is off, that's only 5 episodes (6 if you round up).
So why does it need 2 discs? |

I watched a little bit of it last week. It definitely doesn't look like the one I saw as a kid.lol

You must have skipped this part of the article "Studio 4°C, the anime studio producing Thundercats, collaborated with Warner Bros. Animation in the past to produce parts of The Animatrix, Batman: Gotham Knight, and Halo Legends." |

It's also a co-production. So it would count. |

No way, I wasn't even aware there was a remade Thundercats. I have the boxset containing all of the original episodes and I hope this brings it into the 21st century.
To be fair, I love the original show purely for nostalgia, it is definately one of those shows that is so bad that it then becomes entertainment as an adult... |

I must have entered a parallel universe.
Where's the obligatory, "No BluRay, no buy." post. Is that just reserved for imports? |

Everywhere I go, I see NOTHING but praise (give or take the one or two haters...) for this show, and everyone is calling it the BEST 80`s cartoon remake. I never got to watch Thundercats when I was little, but the concept seemed interesting when I heard of it. I caught the premiere and it was GREAT! People who like the original and those who never watched it, like it just as equally. It is more "animeish", of course, but I really enjoyed it! |

It isn't an import. So of course it's primary run is going to be NA, that doesn't explain the missing like-clockwork whining over the lack of a BluRay release in tandem with the DVD. Last edited by ArsenicSteel on Fri Aug 05, 2011 2:25 am; edited 1 time in total |

Okay, US TV series have been outsourced to Japan for ages. The show's not written in Japan, and I imagine a good chunk of planning is done in the US as well. The show has no Japanese air date, and is a revival of a distinctly American property. Avatar: The Last Airbender is animated in Korea. Does that mean it's a Korean show? No. Hell, Studio 4C animated Transformers: Animated - another production between CN and Japan, yet that show received 0 coverage from ANN, because it's an American show being animated in Japan. |
