Interesting, but sad when one contemplates that one's life is so dull and lonely that one needs to make a friend of a vending machine. What a facinating culture. Wink

Finally I can live out my life long dream of talking to vending machines. Was I the only person that thought of Coffee Samurai when they read this? Do you guys remember that? The anime short that was bundled with Section 23's release of Hoshizora Kiseki?

Can't kick something with a adorable face like that! I'll probably drink more coke due to the faces and customization. They know how to pull at your heart strings.

You could try this. (The big pay-off is at the end of the clip.)

I feel sorry for emergency room nurses and doctors in Japan. Treating cotton burns is one thing but this...

... this can amputate digits.

While this is interesting, it's also very, very sad at the same. I mean, if your that desperate to make friends with a vending machine, that has to say something.

What is going to be even more strange is when someone tries to friend a vending machine and expect the coke machine to talk to them and what. But it's not going to be nearly as creepy as when some guy thinks he can marry one of those vending machines. That is one sure fire way of getting attention though.

Japan, your awesome, but some of your ideas, are very off the wall, much like some of your anime. But that is why you guys really creative.

This doesn't look like something to relieve loneliness. Just looks like a cute Tamagotchi type game. I do think Japan has an issue with depression and the way they handle those who suffer from it, but I don't think this particular game is something we should over think.

But unfortunately all those 40 page debates we have had have trained us in the fine arts of argumentation. Isn't it amazing what we can learn from discussing anime?
