This thread will gather information in regards to unreleased FUNimation licenses (home video and/or streaming). This will include information coming from various sources such as convention reports, FUNimation.com, Press Releases, social media outlets, and so forth.

Notes:
- Dates before each unreleased FUNimation license indicate when they were officially announced.
- [Japan] R2 DVD / Blu-ray release dates are reference points; some licenses may have a grace period (after the last Japan home video release) before FUNimation can release them.

This is awesome... but it might be slightly more clear if you had an example up, instead of just text explaining things.

Could you do this for other companies, too (like Bandai)?

What example were you looking for? The first post is just a cluster of publicly known info to the respective FUNimation unreleased licenses.

At least Steins;Gate has a range of release. Lets hope it doesn't turn in to a two year wait like with Chaos;Head.

Hope it is updated with eventual release dates.

All I have to say is if they release Hellsing Ultimate as Blu-Ray only they are going to have a very angry former customer on their hands.

It would make more sense to me to have a generic entry that was something like this:

*Date announced as licensed * Title [Format] * Targeted release date (source)


I'm just the kind of person who sees a block of text explaining what things mean and goes @.@, but seeing the exact same information as an example and goes !.! and it makes sense.

Dessa, what you said may make sense to you, but I don't think you'd be in the majority. If there was no note explaining what that first date meant, I'm sure some people would confused. I also appreciate the note on the significance of adding the Japanese release dates. Again, somebody who isn't as familiar with release issues wouldn't know the significance instinctively. It's clear WTK put a lot of work into this and normal people; people who have no problems reading clearly understandable text, I'm sure appreciate it a lot. I kinda wish people like you who have sort of dopey comments like you did would just shut up.

With what they have on the plate, I personally don't expect it until 2013. It can depend on whether if FUNimation think it's a priority series. Other factors include when they receive the materials from Japan.

Not likely. It's one of the few former distributed titles (for Geneon USA) that got renewed. It's just the waiting game that we have to play. Though I wouldn't rule out Blu-ray / DVD combo configuration.

I appreciate the comment, but I think I will stick with the current format for now. I will still modify/update the first post as time goes along.

Where specifically are you getting that Tatami Galaxy "will not be dubbed by FUNimation"? Do you mean by that that they definitely won't be putting it out on physical media?

It's still listed as a possible option on their latest survey for future releases so I'd say that's clearly not the case.
