In some animes one sometimes sees someone credited with "planning." Does anybody know what that entails?

Don't quote me on this, but I think it's something akin to "story treatment". They plan the overall flow of the series through a whole story arc. But then again it could mean anything... it's not like there's some very strict set of rules regarding job descriptions Wink
