oh dear. I never actually thought they would attempt to make this. I wonder how far this will actually go?

looking at akira...probably not very far. anyway they got the rights like a couple years back so i guess they were trying to figure out what to do with it but it will probably suck though and pretty much kill one of the only two good arcs in bleach AKA soul society and the first arc.

There we go, it's that time of the year again. Is this going to be another Dragon Ball Z flop, or a dead Akira project?

I hope they actually make something good out of this...

They need exclusively Japanese actors. You can't even dispute that one. Bleach is Japanese through and through, unlike say Death Note or Fullmetal Alchemist.

With any luck this will end up like live action Akira rather than live action Avatar the Last Airbender.

At least Nick Simmons isn't involved.

yeah, we'll see about this, I'll be surprised if this happens...

hopefully they wont try to Americanize it like the aborted Akira adaption, ya know setting it in America, making it to where Ichigo is a "Grim Reaper" or whatever

if this actually gets made though and is faithful this is gonna be one freakin' bizarre movie, wonder who'll play Orihime? (Christina Hendricks maybe lol)

A nice chill ran down my spine.

My only hope is they don't stray from the source material. Switching Ichigo from a Japanese student to some random American high school kid will cause me, and probably a lot of other people, to drop this title like the first of an angry god.

$100 says this movie will fail...
No, make that $1000.

...*fear*

Okay, I know it's not fair to judge it like that...But if this actually makes it as far as movie theaters...I'm not hopeful as far as its quality goes.

I'm laughing while I'm crying because it's so true.

How would you make the movie without straying from the original?

I cannot imagine what the people in Warner Bros were thinking.
