One will have to ask which saga they'd base this movie off of, or if it'd be completely original.

Silver lining: There is absolutely no logical path that would let them base this movie off of the Bounts saga.

Who knows? With Viz Media watching over production, it could be good. Besides, it could be worse. Imagine "Tyler Perry's Bleach."

Who cares, Bleach sucks anyway.
A live action can't possibly make it look worse.

Well, at least they can't make it any worse than the original.
Maybe they'll up-play Yoruichi to be more politically correct, that's a good thing.

Sadly, this.

Despite the horror that was DB Evolution, I think this could be pulled off fairly well depending how things were done. But..yeah, we'll see.

Uh, probably going to pass out on this. Not a big fan of Live-Action movies adapted from a manga/anime. Hope they do execute it correctly thou cause the DBZ Live Action movie was...

well, I am looking forward to the Mirai Nikki Live-Action movie when it debuts but that's another story.

They need exclusively Japanese actors. You can't even dispute that one. Bleach is Japanese through and through, unlike say Death Note or Fullmetal Alchemist.

Have you even seen Bleach? It's a bunch of white people with japanese names living in Japan. Maybe 5 characters in a show with hundreds look even remotely asian.

Oh F---... How is live-action Bleach even possible? Also, didn't Kubo himself say he didn't want it a live-action to happen?

I honestly can't see it working well, but if I had to attempt a live-action adaptation of Bleach, I would focus entirely on the Substitute Arc. I'd probably mix the whole Uryu thing with the Memories in the Main bit (like, have Uryu's bait summon Grand Fisher instead of the Menos Grande) and have Ichigo vs Grand Fisher as the finale.

I'm curious as to how it can fit into movie length. It probably could if you remove everything about Orihime and Chad gaining their powers; but that would screw you over for sequels.

No, make that $1000.

The ironic thing is, the overseas markets will surely put the film into the black.

Still, some of the casting is gonna be a PITA. The only way that they'll even cast Orihime and Yourichi is by hiring Porn Actors.

With that staff? Any chance of this being good is pretty much 0.00001. On the plus side it looks like I will have a wonderful addition to watch for "bad movie and bad game night" with my friends. If it's half as awful as Dragonball Evolution it will be perfect.

Wow, you must not have been watching anime for all that long... it is and always has been the style of Japanese anime to have Japanese characters with light skin-coloring, but there are still distinct differences between characters of Japanese heritage and characters of, say, European heritage in anime. It's the style of the animation.

I'm not into the idea of any manga/anime getting a live action film, too much would have to be changed. Besides, Bleach is too long as it is, what arc would they adapt without expecting to make 12+ sequels? I thought Bleach was fading out due to becoming mediocre. Just drop it Hollywood. Find something else.

If they produced this film in Japan, I might have a better hope for it.
