i was kinda hoping gainax would fix the common error of akunes hair always being behind his eyes instead of the other way around.....was it actually intentional?

It's not an error, it's just an art style. Obviously they need to show his eyes to properly emote, but they also want him to have fancy bishounen hair.
The voice is sort of an odd choice. I always figured he was supposed to sound so cool and manly that you'd have no choice but to hate him (and thus provide a sort of comedic contrast). As opposed to the somewhat comical voice they gave him here. |
