I like Itaru Washioka's character design...

A Magical Girl trio and a band in one...trying to be K-ON + Madoka? xD (Seriously though, I expect it to be a typical Magical Girl show, because people will be expecting another Madoka).

ITT: We randomly name Magical Girl shows that we want Prism Nana to be like.

This is probably gonna be a massive hit. The character designs are great, the staff working on it is really good so far, and everyone will be watching the next magical girl show from Shaft. It has a lot of potential.

Please please please please be SHAFT's trademark WTF-ery wrapped in a moe exterior. I have high hopes for this.

Indeed.

Of course I'm cautiously optimistic, but if nothing else SHAFT has proven they can surprise people and flip expectations head over feet with the greatest of ease.

Dazzle my eyes, sparkly magical girls! Dazzle and confuddle 'em while figuratively hugging my heart with the magical force of friendship and pop!

May there be many twisty magic missiles.

I have this feeling that this series will be somewhere between the dark tone of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the much lighter tone of a Pretty Cure series. This series definitely hits all the tropes the major shoujo genre, that's to be sure.

Yeah, the many weapons used at once is a characteristic visual element of Madoka (unless you count Yozakura Quartet, but it's not so prominent there), and the girls being in a band is like K-On, so they're not just "random anime we want Prism Nana to be like".

Anyway, I hope we get to see a better quality and subtitled version of this video soon. It's hard to tell what's going on here.

Its a little irritating that the first thing anyone thinks of when a band comes up is K-On. And I love K-On!

Also, both Gilgamesh and Archer would like to have words with you.

So first it was every serious show with mecha was like Evangelion. And every quiet girl is a Rei clone.

Now it's every show that has girls in a band is like K-on?

IMHO don't try to make blanket statements about shows, it usually only goes to show how few shows you've watched. It would be like me saying that Space Brothers is just like Planetes because they both feature space and astronauts.

Well, the visuals look great to me. If there's a great story to go along with them, I'm very in.
