A pr0n and harem BOTH on the Rental Shelf? Dear sweet Lord! *swoons* Razz

And yeah, the Menchi cap was well-deserved.

Why do I have this urge to compare Sensitive Pornograph with Brokeback Mountain, even though I've seen neither?

Protip for the ladies: Guys who work for Nintendo are not likely to be "hot". But their quality service makes up for it. Anyway, I'm surprised Viz is selling any boxset so cheap.

Glad to see Kodoch on the must buy shelf. I was a bit suprised to see Girls Bravo make Rental. So I guess it gets a bit better after all. I watched the first season fansubbed (meaning it didn't have the unaired episodes and was, for better or for worse, censored). I was a bit disappointed to see the reviews lacking the depth they usually have. Is it save to assume this is just due to the Thinpack/Boxset barrage?

Captain Tylor is one of those shows that, once you get into it, there’s no turning back until it’s all over and done with.

Quoted for truth. Once I started, I just had to see more. The only reason it took me four days to finish was because my brother was watching with me and I had to wait for him to be available. He got mad at me when I watched the third disc without him. Smile

[Haibane Renmei is] Truly a masterpiece.

Haibane Renmei was a wonderful series. I ordered it right after Christmas. And few days after it arrived, RightStuf started their Geneon sale. Sad

I thought I'd save readers the pain of scrolling down for eternity. I try to keep my columns to 8 pages in Word, so I use that as my guideline for length. After a certain length, people tend to stop reading.

I've talked on Nintendo's customer service line before. They were nice. When I had a problem with my PS2 I thought the people on Sony's customer service line were nice too. I don't have an Xbox, I don't know how Microsoft's is though. If you don't mind answering, what games are you playing on your DS?

The last "Shelf Me" was hard. I couldn't find anything graceful in the store that I work in. Maybe I should have looked harder on my breaks. This one is much easier. "Nasty", there's so many things nasty in my store. I could always wait for someone to spill something, but I have a much better idea in mind. There will probably be a lot more entries for this one. The hentai prizes may turn some people away from it though. I personally don't care.

I must admit to being one of those wou'd likely have never even looked at "Ghost Stories" if it had not been for ADV's treatment of it. It's just not that good of a show if you want to actually take it seriously, although I do understand some of the concern surrounding it since you never know when they'll do it again and next time it might be a series that's more appreciated.

I stopped reading once the long thing about the box sets started.

Yes, I believe that she did. Laughing
Very good 'Shelf Life', Bamboo. The reviews were spot on. Especially what you said about Ghost Stories. This is a series that you can't take too seriously and ADV's treatment of the dub for this show brought many more people into it. This is one dub (along with Gatchaman's) that I actually look forward to.

As for Gankutsuou, this series just gets better and better. I saw fansubs of this show last year and I was absolutely blown away by it. Needless to say, this is one series that I am buying.

Sensitive Pornograph is a series a rased a eyebrow to, its looks to be more of a statement then anything. I think a alot if hentei fan will be shock when they get it from reading the title. Wink

Way too many boxsets I need.... Haibane Renmei, Saikano, Paranoia Agent, R.O.D., the list goes on.

Glad to see that Girls Bravo made it up to rental shelf, mainly because the best episode of the series so far is in the fourth volume. And without trying to intice flames, I must say that Ghost Stories Eng. track is still very unfunny to me; I'll take the R2 track.

I'm looking for better games right now, so recommendations are welcome. Right now, I just have Nintendogs, Animal Crossing (BLEGH not my thing), Mario Kart, and Polarium. I'm thinking of getting Super Mario. I want a game that won't become a chore after 3 days.

So does anyone here know why Geneon boxes are so much more expensive than ADV boxes?

Yea! I'm glad to see Burst Angel made it up to the rental shelf. Mostly so I don't feel so bad that I want to buy that series. Smile

Maybe you could check out Electroplankton? I don't have it, but it looks very interesting. You can only buy it online, so look on Amazon or Nintendo's store or something. Personally, I like Feel the Magic: XY/XX and I'm looking forward to the sequel, The Rub Rabbits! As for other great titles, I'll just go down the list:

Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Kirby Canvas Curse
Sonic Rush

These ones are kind of hit or miss, but the first two are pretty innovative, except that you can't really find the second anywhere anymore...:

Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble
True Swing Golf

Some older games, but still decent in their own right, are:

Wario Ware Touched!
Yoshi Touch & Go

And I think these considerations will hold you over for a while as we all look forward to the great year the DS will have in 2006, including New Super Mario Bros.! Twisted Evil
