Beginning in the Masacre Arc, Yen Press is releasing Higurashi: When They Cry (manga #10497) in 2-for-1 omnibi. Source: http://www.yenpress.com/higurashi-when-they-cry/ and confirmed in the Massacre 1 copyright page.

So Massacre 1 should be volumes 19-20, Massacre 2 should be 21-22, and Massacre 3 should be 23-24.

I added the ebook of Is This a Zombie?'s first volume to its releases, but I forgot to specify that it was an ebook. Is there a way for me to edit the info to add this in?

Are we supposed to count omnibus as 2 graphic novels? Is that how we've been doing it? Sure they have more pages, but they're still published as a single book...

Fixed the other stuff.

I had done so when the publisher and retailers marked an omnibus as "volume x-y" (example: One Piece) but stopped doing so a month ago when some volume numbering started becoming unrealistic. I've been correcting them whenever I see one. Coincidentally, retailers like Amazon have started changing their volume numbering recently (compare this and this).

Some, like Negima, Chobits, CCS and Rayearth etc. actually are previously released volumes bundled together into an omnibus (albeit with corrections or even completely new translations) so I can see stating the single volumes included being helpful - if you bought Negima Omnibus 7 and got impatient for the rest, which of the single volumes would you need to start with?

Methinks such info could be added into its Description instead of the volume number.

I posted on twice on Nov. 28, and I noticed you made the changes suggested in the second post but didn't make any from the first one. There was a post in between, maybe there was some confusion, although whether or not you change the dates is up to you, of course. The 2 Shana releases came out by 12/11 anyway, so no change is warranted for those after all. The 2 "A Certain Magical Index" releases also came out by the 12/11 date FUNimation originally gave in Sept. "Is This A Zombie?" was also out by the 12/4 date given by Right Stuf. Here's an updated, shortened list.

For situations like this, I always figured the best solution in general was "One Piece [Omnibus 6] (GN 16-18)" -- if using the examples earlier. Mid-volume cutoffs are fairly rare, and it follows the original release format, which is one of the common guidelines. Sounding like we will finally get guidance on it though, so I'm happy either way.

A small problem is that numbers immediately after "Blu-ray" "DVD" or "GN" have an upper limit of 5 characters (including the hyphen-minus sign). Maybe it could be upgraded to 7 characters in the future, but for now it would be easier and clearer if an omnibus volume is just considered and entered as one. Wink
