$5,143,930 HxH opening weekend
$16,339,700 One Piece opening weekend

Wait...I'm confused how does 5 million beat 16 million???
Or did it mean that One Piece had a greater initial audience
but now HxH is selling more? The film that is.

Why don't we have a total figure then of what the film has made?

And why is it talking about Evangelion all of a sudden?

Am I the only one confused by this article?

The article states that the HxH movie beat the One Piece movie for that weeks sales, taking #1 spot on the chart.
The other figures are just comparing how much each film made on it's opening weekend. As you can see, the mighty One Piece beat everything! lol

Although One Piece is my best of all, but HxH is my second and am so glad that it topped the charts this weekend. However, One Piece did more than a great job in Japanese theaters, and i think it will stay in the top 10 in terms of weekend sales for a long time. Very Happy

This is an article about HxH, not how great One Piece is. HxH is #1 in the box office this weekend according the article, that is the fact. The lack of reading comprehension (understanding that now != the weekend One Piece opened) inspired a terse reply.

First of all, although the title mentions HxH, but within the article they are also talking about the performance of One Piece in the box office and this bring us to the second point. Mrsticky005 was not asking about whether One Piece is "shitty" or not, but he was confused about something else.
If anything this actually brings your reading comprehension skills into question!!!

Anyways pirates and hunters are great

Geez I didn't mean to start World War 3. Settle down folks.

I was just confused. I thought the title meant TOTAL sales.
But now I see it's just for THAT Box Office Weekend.

However when it talked about the 457 Million Yen
it said it was for the opening weekend and
compared it to 1.3 billion yen One Piece made
for it's Opening Weekend so I got confused.

Really it seems that it's more of a case of
One Piece not selling as much because
the craze for the film has died down
and as a result HxH is on top.

I mean either way it's still cool to see HxH is doing well.

But am I the only one who thought the article
and the title made it seem more impressive than it was?
