Shelf Life - C+C Anime Factory

As I've said before I went into this show not knowing anything about it except that it's tied in with the Blood series itself. But seriously, I have to ask the people who could not see this coming, I mean really did you not think there was something slightly suspicious with how Fumito offered Tadayoshi something else? For those claiming they screwed you all over with the ending, why were you not paying attention, you could clearly see that this was a bit of an act. I mean this isn't Deus Ex Machina type stuff, the clues are all there if you look hard enough.

Had this show been more in line with the designs of Blood Plus or perhaps similar to Death Note, I could live with it, but the fact it uses the CLAMP designs just makes me wonder how far are they willing to sell out to have female characters they design just become cannon fodder (just look at Code Geass).

I think it's safe to assume that we all knew something was up, since, yes, the clues are laid out all over the place-- the coffee, the guimauve, the flashbacks. But even though I figured something was afoot with Saya herself, I certainly did not expect spoiler[ the dead to come back and say, SURPRISE! We're not dead at all! We're actors! TADAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE'RE NOT EVEN FRIENDS! LOL!].

Not exactly a good comparison, in all honesty, since in this case CLAMP happens to be directly responsible for the actual story and, one way or another, the resulting level of graphic violence is at least an entire order of magnitude higher here. It's almost like night and day. Whatever else you want to say about the show, the unavoidable fact is that CLAMP had plenty of creative input in Blood-C.

Sorry, jeez. I figured that since you'd been given an inaccurate idea of the characters' ages, the only thing that causes that misconception was to blame. So your complaint is that no one in the cast is college age or at least 16+, then?

As a concept though, I can appreciate what Clamp was trying to do. The just didn't execute on it all that well.

If the ending seemed rushed, that's because the writing was grossly incompetent

I look at Blood-C and I just have to ask, why, why did the writers and directors feel like they had to go so far with those scenes at the end of the series?

I liked the idea of that the Assets appearance represented something important in the players' lives, but spoiler[We never found out what Mushu was supposed to be, which drove me nuts! Who was she? Kimimaro's sister? Future spouse? Daughter? ]
