Oh gawd, are you serious??? I wonder if they've been inspired by our rockem sockem robot movie to take place this summer. Well, they did have the Tetsujin-28 movie that I have yet to see. But it be interesting to see Japan try their hand at making a live action film on scale that Hollywood is known for. With the technology and software getting better there may be hope yet.
Want to see.

I'm not huge anime turn to live-action sort fellow. I rather trust Japanese company that understands the franchise verse some company who may had writer who watched it when they were kid and forgot about it. I'm glad they actually want to put real plot in it, but i'm disappointed that teaser video they showed was just for show without a real plot behind it.
Again though, i'm shocked to hear Robotech is still alive. Thats going be interesting disaster. Voltron....was pretty dumb down to begin with when it was dubbed/cut-pasted together for tv. So it maybe end up coming out ahead.
