I'm not really understanding this, "1st Novel in 8 years". Shouldn't that be 6 years?

The article is making a distinction between the Crusher Joe franchise and the Dirty Pair franchise, although they are related. There had been a Dirty Pair novel more recently than a Crusher Joe novel.

Not impossible, that's been a steady for a few years now and has given us Casshern SINS and that Golgo 13 anime only a wee few Westerners and all of Japan's salarymen watched. I'm not too fond of the idea of pure remakes even if they eventually do their own thing, but Yamato has proven to be a smashing success, and now we're getting Sailor Moon too.

Closer to Crusher Joe than those, Guyver did get one 7 years ago, so we'll just have to wait and speculate until a press release confirms anything.

He writing a new Crusher Joe novel?!!? I hope he hasn't lost his touch....i hope its lengthy. If the book is, maybe some quality anime house will pick up and do Crusher Joe justice and make descent OVA of it.

Banner of the Stars news is good too! I just hope the story better than 3rd anime ova they did...
