I found the second episode much funnier than the first. That team of "love experts" was hilarious. I hope the show can maintain this level of humour.

This episode had a couple funny gags that I found amusing, starting with the beginning where Shido had his lips puckered for the insomniac Reine when she got close to him.

The other one was the parody of a confession between spoiler[Shido and Origami]. It had that cliche "I've been doing that too!" but with that last creepy line as a twist Very Happy. It doesn't help that spoiler[Origami has that emotionless Rei-esque demeanor too] haha.

Overall it's entertaining. At first, I was put off by the scantily-clad girls in "armored" flying suits for combat. That's just silly looking. I hope they keep those design styles to a minimum <_<_>!

OMG! Part with the spoiler[teacher] was slightly disturbing.
His "spoiler[make-them-fall-in-love-with-you]" training was just LOL
Shido's sister certainly has some interesting plans for him.
This really felt like a visual novel ^^
I do like her new name - spoiler[Tohka].
It's like watching anime & someone play a visual novel at the same time.
Don't know why, but I really like this one.

damn, those "love experts" just make a harem for him.
what with the options?

1. I need to ask you something.
2. To make love with you
3. I need to ask you something.

OK what the hell happened to this show?? Why did it feel like a completely different series? The mood shifted so much that its pretty ridiculous, the animation for Tohka was disgusting for the first half of the episode (Ep. 3), and the script was just plain awful. I was constantly bopping myself in the head the whole time at just how idiotic seemed. A simply horrid episode that took us nowhere. They should have stuck with the mangas sequence of events. It's like the director is trying WAY too hard to make Tohka appear "cute", her and Shido's lines were all just WAY too cheesy. You let me down this episode Date A Live...you let me down :/

Eh, I liked it. I didn't find it as enjoyable as eppie 2, but I found the date stuff cute. There is going to be a jarring switch in tone from comedy to drama-lama in most episodes, probably. It's not always the most comfortable mix, but so far I'm not minding it.

I really wish ANN charged posters who whine about an anime not following the manga ten cents every time they did that. We'd wipe out world hunger in no time.

My complaints for this episode had nothing to do with the manga. Only that one little sentence did, and I hardly think that's considered whining.
If you look at my previous posts, it's pretty obvious that I'm enjoying the show.

There was an awkwardly presented scene this episode that made me resort to the forums for an explanation. Although I could guess why spoiler[Shido reappeared in mid-air for Tohka to catch him], the fact that there wasn't a clear illustration as to why it happened is pretty bad.

Episode 3

I would not say I disliked it. But how much food can that girl eat, she is like a certain, a black hole for a stomach. If there is one thing I like about super battle women like Tohka or Ikaros, it is seeing them go berserk and attacking the person that tried to take what they care about. It is rather strange that this can be crazy rom-com one minute, but deadly serious another with military the next. Seeing Tobichi spoiler[break down from possibly killing him] was a nice scene, even if distressing.

The romance team needs to show how effective their not attacking method. But what the hell spoiler[is our hero?]

Shido & Tohka on a spoiler["date"]. That was fun ^^
spoiler[Origami] didn't like those two hanging out one bit.
It was just amazing how much spoiler[Tohka could eat] O.O
spoiler[The incident messed things up quite a bit.
Origami's reckless action changed everything in a split second.]

Luckily spoiler[Shido] packed a nice surprise for us ^^
Those two are really meant for each other.

That was a surprisingly good episode. Cute in the first half, full of tension in the second. I almost believed - almost - that the story had pulled a PMMM and that Shido was spoiler[actually dead.]

I've decided; I will continue with this series.

This show has been giving me some serious Freezing and Infinite Stratos vibes...which I'm down with.

It's got a couple of elements from both - for example, Spirit costume design and the Mecha-Musume respectively - but apart from that it's a totally different series from either of them.

And both series got season 2 as well from this year's news announcements.
